NRL Rd 5 *Spoilers

Can't stand the way the Panthers carry on either, but they are one very, very good footy side.
They won't be beaten until a side can get the upper hand through the middle. Their forwards and To'o just lay too good a platform for Cleary and Luai to play off with the opposition always on the back foot. Somebody will literally have to drag that pack into the trenches and try to bash them and it will have to be done away from Bluebet Stadium as there is no chance of getting the rub of the green there. At this point i can't see a forward pack in the NRL that is capable of pulling it off.

Totally agree. Souths are the only team that might come close.

Small things change games. Croker making a mess of the grounding then Sutton penalising Rapana for 'kicking out' when he did nothing - I'm still having trouble understanding exactly why he was penalised.

I think George Williams has to be a contender for worst halfback in the NRL after last nights performance.

Where’s the Momo fan club tonight. He’s having a shocker.

Why? He has played well. Capewell missed the tackle which let the Canberra 11 throigh.

He’s done nothing. Getting smashed every time he touches it. Got taken out.

Just nearly set up the try for Cleary which the winger eventually scored. He saved two dangerous situations with bomb takes near his line. He has played well. The pass for Staines to score superb. Very good player.

Momo Haters gotta Hate!

Interesting the way Penrith come off their own line. Throw it a couple wide where there's more risk but less chance of a gang tackle. Quick play the ball and the wingers make huge metres. This sets up their kick and rinse and repeat.

Contrast us a metre out where we throw it to Nofo or a forward one off the ruck and expect them to get us out of trouble.

Clearly did this with us too - we used to throw it wide early on whereas I expect Madge wants them to play more conservatively. Seems to work for Penrith, especially given how confident young teams tend to be.

Their winger T’o, wow it’s like nofa but he makes the metres forwards while nofa make most of them sideways.

He makes a lot more metres than he should because defenders go high. He has to be taken around the legs - just like that Kat Sivo.

No one is saying that it is easy - but that is the only way.

All punchable faces..

Liam Martin has to be a contender for most punchable face!

He is just an out and out Scumbag - I'd like to see him try to tackle a Mack truck head on myself!

Is Luai the biggest show poney in the game.

What he needs is a good punch in the head (several times).

Cannot stand him!!!!!

Well the Wests Tigers take on the Panthers in round 24 , second last round
Maybe Packer can leave a parting gift to cleary before he exits our club
Just a not so subtle reminder of what he did to our club
Packer has a chance to make this personal

Yep
From my understanding Kikau only needed to place a hand on Rapana for it to constitute a tackle as he was on his back on the ground
Kikau's tackle was excessive and had the intent to harm
It was completely un warranted
And that was after he hit CNK in the back of the head with a forearm
A grub at work
Rub him out

Yep it was the turning point in the game. All momentum shifted from that point with Penriff grabbing 2 quick tries.

I agree, but barring the contact to the head which imo he should have been penalised for, it is perfectly legal (although unnecessary) to do what he did, in fact Chris Sandow used to be an expert at it.

Yeah didn’t really see a lot of that tbh. There was a bit of a dust up after Stains’ second try as Ink pointed out, but I think that was more about Tapine getting the poops than anything else. The game was pretty spiteful at times, so giving it to the opposition after scoring is nothing unusual, but like I said I didn’t see much of of that except after the Stains try.

Yes they celebrate enthusiastically as most teams do, as I would hope my team would do if we can ever play that well. Honestly, I think people are trying to see the things that Penrith do in a bad light simply because they hate Ivan. I’m not keen on Ivan either and I don’t really want to see him succeed after what he did to us, but sadly that horse has bolted. I have to separate the team from my dislike of the coach when watching them play.

No... Yiu don't get it
They have no sportsmanship at all.
I knew someone would bring up "they're enjoying their footy" which is all well and good and what all coaches would aspire too as it means they're playing well... But Sheens had us enjoying our footy too in 05... But we didn't carry on with the grub acts penrith do especially when their opponents make an error or they score.
I see it in individuals in other teams often but Penrith pretty much their whole side is at it.

Tapine instigated nothing btw bar reacting when I think Crichton grabbed and shoved him
