Yeah I’m stumped how he OR Koroibete beats out players like Ferguson and Rapana... many distractions and time spent out of the game for both of them but at their peak not many better.

Not wrong...Considering Val played over 100 games and as Geo pointed out the majority of that was on the wing...So if that’s the way people are voting, it doesn’t bode well for future voting on some of these player selections...

Ok this goes against my better judgement and will make it harder when I do the votes but this is surely a gee up...Holmes has played more games on the wing in his career than he has Fullback including Grand Finals and Origin..

He’s no winger in the comp today , I’m not trying to gee you up at all I really do not rate him.

Fox could probably move up to 6 - he’s lucky to get that high. Holmes left the game and hasn’t been as good for about 3 seasons. Checked out a lot of his NFL trials too so can certainly comment... would you like me to scrap my vote?? Kinda goes against what you said about objectively voting because I’m actually trying to use form lines and ability, not just stats. If you rely on just stats then Hodges probably had a better record than Inglis. At FB though?

Mate you had Hayne down at 8th best fullback and 2/3rd of the comp ahead of him with players haven’t played the position this decade ! I know it’s all a bit of fun to everybody but it’s nice to do it properly and I honestly have no issue in re-doing the vote. He might drop to 0 though.

What’s the definition of ‘properly.’ I’d say you’d define properly as : in complete agreement with myself. I’d define it as: within the rules as initially established. Imo we are doing this properly.

So, placing my vote subjectively is wrong? Not only that, if you don’t agree then it’s improper? I didn’t call out anybody else’s rules I stated what was passed on to me and my understanding of the rules. I’d suggest you hit the dictionary again. Correct about it being YOUR opinion though

Doesn’t really compare though to guys that have played 50/100 odd games in that position does it...And add to that Tevita Pangai Jnr you’ve selected him in your starting 17 when the majority of his career has been off the bench...So again to use your point/argument he’d only get marked on the games his started...

My “argument” is that on form and figures, Wighton probably beats somebody like Soward... Holmes doesn’t even tickle JAC’s balls

Anyway, as Geo said it’s our Comp. Think you may feel that by telling me something is true that it becomes such... interesting how, yes, Seibold is a fan of TPJ as a prop sub.

Yet Master Coach Wayne Bennett saw him as a highly effective and damaging back rower.

Enough so to have been STARTING him years ago, so these are additional things I’ve considered... you’re looking pretty stuffed yourself with old Bill Kikau, all of two years deep into a professional sporting career... not much at all for me to vote him in above somebody like SBW or TPJ who have been doing similar for years and only recently overshadowed by generational talent like Fifita and Payne Haas, who’ll certainly get my top votes. Have they even made a finals series except last years embarrassment?

I noticed you picked Haas early too! Interesting again to note that you could have picked absolutely anybody from the past 10 or more years, and he is the only one who sticks out like a sore thumb (and is just as ‘green’) in the forward stocks. I’d have benched him for my team of the decade that’s for certain...

Maybe next time touch, pause and don’t engage, like come on Lily, I’ve explained it to Geo. Just as I disagreed with Locky being eligible for the fullback spot given he didn’t play there post 2010.

However, he continued playing after obviously, and was amongst the most vaunted opposite number #6/7’s anybody could ask to challenge themselves against, yet in this forum’s opinion, not better than his days at #1. I said fair enough. Despite maintaining quiet disagreement!

Holmes is simply a better fullback than he is a winger and he’s not as good a winger as majority of the other options, many selections could be seen as validating your view, however, that doesn’t mean people in rugby league circles don’t think he’s massively overrated. Watch the space.

I was not surprised to see G.I not at #1 as he would genuinely struggle against some of the top FB’s rated... people are obviously looking at whole career’s and not just highlight segments - as well as how to squeeze players in - but as I said throughout this post, your opinion that my opinion is wrong is misconstrued. I am perfectly entitled to select where Jack Wighton plays based on his absolute peak performance just as I thought Inglis’ form peaked at Souths... would you be 100% willing to say I’m wrong?

Note also: not saying you’re wrong. Just context.

Thurston, Milf, Munster? How many NSW Five-eights won a series? Playing out of their regular position probably suggest a level of comfort-ability. Anyway, you get my point surely
