NRL360

Not sure I’d call leaving Melbourne to go to the Roosters a soft option….

Now leaving the Tigers to go to Melbourne I world certainly call a soft option
What.

He walked into two, fresh premierships in one of the most stacked sides of the past few decades.

The softest of options. Much like Bellamy never taking on a rebuild at a struggling club. There will always be an asterisk next to their names, as successful as they were.

Have to say- the 9 team are far less one-eyed in their commentaries.

I know a few on here hate Gus Gould, but he actually provides valid insight. Fittler is underrated IMO. Slater is a class tv guy. (Not as big a fan on the field- but I hear he is a nice guy in real life..)

The 360 guys are click-baiters. I actually don't mind Anasta. Gordon Tallis seems like he is fair in his critisism.

The issue is- 360 has journo's as analysts. Buzz, Read, Hoopsie Doopsie, Carayanis, Crawley etc- they throw out little hooks hoping something will catch. But there is nothing of substance to what they say. And because it's easy bait to trash the Tigers- they stick to what they know.

Cooper Cronk is as dull as they come. Alexander is getting salty in his old age.

Ennis & Meninga are acceptable. I actually don't mind James Graham when he's on.

I think people are tired of hearing the same rhetoric every time they turn the tv on. I'd rather listen to Willie Mason, tbh. At least he has opinions, generally based on experiences.
I think Meninga is one of the greatest analytical myths of the NRL era.

He walked backwards into coaching the best QLD Origin side in history, then landed at possibly an even cushier job at the Kangaroos.

Has absolutely won the lottery post-football.

Listen to him critique ANYTHING about a game; he makes Tallis and Blocker look like savants.

These media organisation really hurt us. From bagging the club constantly making it difficult for us to recruit, to over hyping our young players so it leads to over inflated contracts.

They're a real problem. No wonder benjis press conferences are filled with hostility.

Understand your logic.
I just see it from a different perspective. I don’t think leaving a strong club where you’ve had a heap of success a soft option. I agree that leaving that type of club and going to say the Tigers as being a huge challenge and the harder option of the two, I just wouldn’t classify it as soft. How would you describe leaving the Tigers to head the Storm? Can they both be soft as I see that that move as the softer option.

Why is NRL 360 on 3 times a week when all there segment is about is possible player movement 20 months before the contract is over?

If you can't think of anything to talk about other than future contracts them maybe you should shut up shop.

End of year they can talk all they want. Not the 2nd round of the season. Pathetic.

Could not agree more.

They need and are awaiting a big scandal.
Hope it’s not us that provides it.

I would see both as soft, personally.

Teddy - soft
Stefano - soft

Cronk - also soft

If 'chasing premierships' means leaving a struggling side to jump to a stronger side, then it is always the soft option. Very few have the balls and fortitude to dig clubs out of the mire anymore. Its part of the reason I've got so much respect for the likes of Api and Jarome.

It's the same reason I'll have very little respect for a Galvin if he chooses to go to one of the 'glamour clubs'. Its the easy way out.

It's the Americanisation of Australian sport and its self-centred trash.

You can bet your life some of the 360 crew are hoping Tuck, probably have one of those rooms with a creepy voodoo shrine to put a curse on the Tigers, can just see Riccio now dressed up as a witch doctor dancing around pointing the bone, what a cretin.

The problem is that they now have a dedicated channel that needs to be filled and this is evidenced by the fact that we know all the journos names and what their alliances are. Fox League has made them pseudo celebrities and they love it.

Tucker,

Not sure they are awaiting the scandal as they create them and then go on an believe it.

The one I laughed at most recently was Luai wants to leave for Parramatta because he played with Moses last year in Origin. Why would he not want to go to Newcastle as he played well with Bradman Best helping him score the try that got us in front. Absolute clowns.

Agreed though hoping it is not us that provides them with one.

Riccio and Ritchie have both this week and last just made something up and reported it. Ritchie reported Luai and Galvin are a danger of going to Parramatta - then back tracked and said he hadn't heard anything, but "just saying".

Then Riccio...the audacity last night to carry on about Galvin...when pushed, he wouldn't answer the question directly...Anasta tried to pin him hard on it too. Well done to BA

The strength of Luai going to Parra from that fat dope was that " they knew each other from SOO".
By that logic, me having seen an Elle McPherson movie obviously means that I will soon marry her.
I'd better tell the current Mrs.

I missed it WT, what did he say ?
They had the Laundys on,, Bulldogs sponsor...Anasta mentioned Laundy snr was a Tigers fan (son is a rooster) he nearly sponsored the Tigers, Laundy was talking about John Chalk who invited him to a I assume WTs board meeting where Laundy just sat and listened, he wanted to get a vibe of the board...he said one board member made him feel very unwelcome, questioning why he was there etc
Hal Browns name was mentioned but really didnt seem to be part of the story
