NSW Origin Team

Saw Moylan live tonight. He is struggling a bit to gel with his team but he might just be the best NSW 5/8

I absolutely think he has massive talent but there’s something I don’t like and I’m not sure what. I get the feeling that he doesn’t have the ticker but I could be totally wrong - I don’t know the guy

Yeah he has a lot of talent but there's something very unlikeable about him.

Is Tariq Sims & Frizzell a blue?

Frizzell is a Corrimal Cougars junior and Sims from Gerringong. Blues pack should include the entire Dragons back row, Dragons prop and hooker and Aitken at right centre.

Moylan was exposed at fullback for his lack of genuine pace. I can't see how he can continue in that position.

McInness doesn't offer enough in attack and his try last night doesn't change my view on that. Aitken offers plenty in attack but that Leutele try last night was a worry in terms of his defence - he had his feet planted and was angled in while his opposite number was outside him which made for the easiest pass selection Hodkinson will ever make. His tackle on Lee at the death was all class though. He's certainly one to watch but you'd wanna make sure he doesn't have defensive issues that will easily be exploited. While the Dragons defence generally has been good this year their line defence has been very questionable at times, particularly on their RHS where Souths raided them last week and the Sharks did as well last night.

Yes,Sims is from Gerringong, although that is an hour plus south of Sydney it still falls within the QLD border as Korbin has sided with the Toads due to the facts the Broncs recruited the Sims boys when they were juniors.

I could be wrong, but I think only Korbin was an early bronco.

I actually think they all played in the Broncos NYC teams around 2010, despite being south coast juniors. I know Tariq went onto play with North Qld and was going gangbusters there until he broke his leg. He has played for Country a couple of times and was touted as a shoe in for the NSW Origin side around the time of his injury. I just remember it being a big blow for him and the NSW team at the time.

I think he had another serious injury a couple of years later and he has struggled to ever regain his early devastating form…..until now

Honestly I'd be happy if NSW picked the entire Dragon's back row, they are that good! Certainly better than what Cordner, Jackson and Graham are throwing up at the moment.

Lots of talk about Brooks being in the mix. Personally I’d like to see him get us to the finals (& beyond) first but it would no doubt be a great achievement if he was picked.

No mention of Rowdy tho….

I know Ferguson has been running big metres again this year … but Origin defence is a different beast.
He has a lot of stupid errors in him that hurt you in tight games, like the other week when he took a bomb close to his line and then ran right for the sideline where he got taken into touch . There’s at least a couple of terrible mistakes in him every week... plus he was a naughty boy last year.
Not for me.

Too many gun second rowers around at the moment for Rowdy to be in the mix, I reckon. I even think Aloiai would be thereabouts if it weren't for the big line up of backrowers playing so well. De Belin, Frizzell, Cordner, Crichton, Graham (not that he deserves to be there but he will be), Sims, Jackson, Finucane - lots of competition for the backrow and bench spots there.

To save the arguement.

Tariq Sims - NSW (he represent nsw state of origin u18’s (i may wrong).

Korbin Sims - Elgible for both NSW and QLD. He chose QLD (his family says he’s a little bit different)

Hopefully Tariq gets picked this year as he is back to best, instilling fear in the opposition.

I agree if Tariq is not picked I will be filthy.

Cordner would only hold his place because he is captain and comes from the rorters - he offers nothing - another flat track bully that goes missing when the chips are down.

There would be plenty of forum members that read footy better than me so I’d like one of them to explain what this bloke currently offers cause I just don’t see it.

Unless your a blues selector or a rorters supporter ( which we aren't ) then you obviously miss the subtleties of his play. Leadership qualities - zero Aggressiveness - zero plodder scale - 10

He is pretty average unless the rorters are on top - to me he is not a leader,
