One thing the Cronk announcement has done is tell us who the QLD halfback will be next year. Would have been a big ask having a whole new halves combination next season.

Too early to formulate a team but if 2017 form continues I'd like to see Angus Crichton, Nathan Cleary, Paul Vaughn, Clint Gutherson, Tom Trbojevic and Reagan Campbell-Gillard in the mix as possible additions. NSW need some genuine centres. Dugan, Bird and Hayne are all pretty unconvincing for mine…

James Roberts must have a red line thru his name… Dylan Walker isn't bad either

Neither of them commit well in defence - Walker particularly was awful in defence at the back end of 2017\. I can't see them going with weak defensive centres up against Chambers, GI, Gagai, Munster…they have a lot of threatening options. Jennings is probably still close to the most complete centre NSW has available.

Queensland don't Naval gaze like this at a loss. Yes identify the real problems, don't identify petty concerns or if your bench rotation was rotated enough.

Identify that NSW needed a solid plan and platform once they were winning. Identify that game 2 we took the pressure off and lost energy, Why?

What did he do in games 2 and 3?

Where's Jake Trbojevic? He's a must! He will captain the side one day. I'd put him there before Fifita. And we need a better hooker than Peats if we're gonna even think about ever winning another series.

This thread is a long way out from SOO. Fittler will pick form players, but at the same time will pick a core he feels will suit his game plan. One thing Fittler will also know, mobile Backrowers and a Bench Utility [which can get out of DH] are vital in SOO.

His name is GI

Doesn't worry me if GI comes back, his best is behind him. Still good, but nothing like at his best, how many times did he go missing in 2016.
Anything year older , another serious injury to a few others, and needs to get over a long time out of the game
I hope they pick him.

Boyd or Holmes could be a possibility.

Can't believe that some think that Moses is even going to be a chance. Maloney or Gutherson or Reynolds, would have to fall over before that would happen, and even if they did I still think they would still overlook Moses.
Why not just mark a special line on the field for Qld to run straight over Moses and score?
At least The scorekeepers would have a tiring night.

People thought the same about Billy Slater and he was reliant on speed in a way GI isn't. There's a fair chance he'll come back busted but I wouldn't write him off…

Big difference for Slater, he was still in really good form when he was injured, Gi was struggling in a lot of his games in 2016., just makes it harder to come back. He'l have some good games, but il be surprised if he is like he was a few years ago.
