Interesting how in a few weeks we have gone from a 3-way fight for first-choice hooker (and no obvious standouts) to no-contest.

Doing very well with the opportunities afforded him, both in attack and defence.

Peachey on the other hand should never play first grade again and I am very disappointed in whoever in the coaching echelon who put him on the bench.

Yeah I don’t think Peachey contributes anything, time to move him along.

Penrith usually run the bench hooker/utility to give Api a break, most games. (Mitch Kenny)

Mayhe Nu Brown can do this for us next year whilst Rua / Tannous / Da Silva get ready.

Yep, perfect 14 IMO. Has played halves and lock as well in case an injury occurs mid game.

I would like to see Simpkin on the bench. Although that may not be the right move for his development. Might be better for him to be punching out 80 minutes in NSW cup on a weekly basis. Again I go back to Harry Grant who spent 3 years in reserve grade before getting full time NRL appearances at 22.

At the end of the day it’s only football and there are far more important things to worry about. Hate to see any young kid having troubles with the black dog syndrome over football or anything else. Nu strikes me as a pretty smart guy

Is it just me or are their others who have been part of severe disappointment and distress at work, and on the sporting field.
Whilst I wish no added pain to him, these things are all part of his chosen profession and mental toughness is a key factor in success in his job.
Imo best way to overcome it is to learn from the pain and play the game of his life this weekend.
If he’s going to let it get to him then maybe he’s in the wrong job !

Agree, in a full strength side he is a great option at 14, covers the full spine including 13. Been very impressed with his output this year.
