Wests Tigers have confirmed their NYC team to take on Cronulla Sharks at Remondis Stadium this Saturday evening for their important Round 10 clash.

Despite missing several key players and losing more to injury throughout the match, Wests Tigers' NYC squad were able to hang on for an incredible 22-18 victory against a highly-rated Sydney Roosters side on Friday night to remain inside the top eight.

They'll face a tough test in the Cronulla Sharks this weekend, who will be desperate for a win after four consecutive losses — including one on the siren against Parramatta.

NYC Head Coach Andrew Webster said that while last week's win against the Roosters will give the boys plenty of confidence, they must ensure that they don't keep putting themselves under pressure with needless mistakes inside their own half.

Kick-off is scheduled for 1:15pm AEST on Saturday, May 17.

How did Jordan Grant go ??

Jordan went well and was the pick of the forwards along with Dallas Graham. Its not easy joining a club mid season but he is fitting in well and adds that much needed size to the Tigers pack.
He was terrific defensively and made some good metres, hoping for another solid performance from him this week.

What's his background and how big is he?

Jordan Grant came to us from the Eels, Webster would have coached him there last year he is 190cm and is/was 98kg and turns 20 in August. He does have a fair bit of filling out to do but the potential is there he has good leg strength and is solid in defence, but obviously not big enough to be an eel. Looks agile enough to be a 2nd rower.

Sounds like every other prop we have in NYC… But hopefully he's bigger and better than them. He's certainly not huge by those stats.

Jordan's dad phoned me this morning ( he's a family friend ) to tell me that Jordan is 104 kg and will continue to put on weight. He said the kid is having a great time at the tigers and the whole team has made him feel welcomed. Now all we need is top find 1 -2 other forwards before the 30 july and me give this comp a shake.

Daniel Rakvin, 188cm and 107kg and a very good ball runner is back playing and wouldn't be far off being selected and we will also have Fosio Tatola back shortly which will certainly improve our defence and go forward.

He's put some size from the sounds of it!
