If Ballin felt so strongly about the issue, he should have sought a release. I couldn't imagine the club would be too disappointed if he left.

And the club would be poorer for it. It shows leadership qualities we are obviously sorely lacking to take such a stand. Ballin is highly regarded throughout the league as a consumate professional, and even though injury plagued since being with us, I would put alot more weight to his opinions than to those who have come through our system. He understands success and what it takes, the muppets he addressed couldnt say the same.

I think that he should worry about putting in some good games, or any type of game for that matter, and showing some value ,rather than telling others what they should be thinking,
JT had his chance, and maybe some players might think that Ballins got a free ride so far.
Thanks to JT.
After giving others a spray, he'd want to go pretty well when he does get on the field, or he's going to look pretty stupid
,

Yeah I tend to agree with this. For someone who has contributed next to nothing on the field it seems a bit rich to be giving other players a spray.

If we could get him and Evans and have a prop rotation of Woods/Ava/Mats/Evans, it would be pretty sweet. Throw in McQueen our pack all of a sudden looks awesome. Fingers crossed Evans stays out of the Roosters side because that will bring his asking price down. Add an outside back like Whare and we are good to go.

I like this. If we could get whare and a decent winger we would be starting to get towards a competitive team.

Woods for matulino, that's a fair swap. Doubt woods would want to go to NZ though… Perhaps we could end up with both of them

Matulino for Woods is a fair swap?! An Origin prop who is in the top 3 or 4 props in the world as opposed to a bloke who has trouble getting a game with the Warriors (who are going worse than WT are) and is injury prone. Matulino is half the player Woods is.

Your kidding right? the tigers are at the bottom, flat out last, it doesnt get any worse than that. And on top of that our points differential. But i agree with the woods/matulino trade its like 2 for the price of 1\. But id welcome matulino with open arms he'd be a great buy for us.

And abit off topic but am i the only one that hates having woods as captain? In my opinion hes not fit for the role, winning or losing hes smiling, if we lose by 50 hed probably smile, rather have someone like farah who wants to win all the time and shows it. But in saying that with the current squad theres probably no one better.

Matulino fully fit and motivated is a very good player. I thought he was one of the best in game a few years back but has struggled since Cleary left…,could be game plan related. He would be a presence with woods.

I am sick and tired of hearing about players not happy with this and not happy with that. Sheeesh! Shut the hell up and do your jobs! Or maybe they should try going to work 5 days a week and looking after the elderly or teaching the kids - real jobs - that pay less in a week than these guys earn in a day!
I'm over these prima donnas!
They can all leave if they want to as far as I'm concerned.

Depending on Idris, Whare could play wing

2\. Noffa
3\. Suli
4\. Idris
5\. Whare

With the money the Warriors have spent on their roster they are way bigger disappointments than WT IMO. Plus we have already sacked our coach, theirs is next on the chopping block. The Warriors are lucky they are virtually out of sight, out of mind because if they were based in Sydney they would be getting shredded in the media as well. At this point in time i honestly would rather be in our clubs' position than theirs.

Looks like he'll get his chance sooner rather than later. We'll see how he goes this week.

No….if he doesnt go well on the field, he'll just look like all the others in this team

Are you for real? Anybody who has any sort of professionalism or ethics has no place at Wests Tigers?

We should just continue on with a playing roster who sooks about every coach they ever have and refuses to put in, that seems to be working well for us.

So berating colleagues because you do not agree with a decision made at a much higher level is professionalism?

Woods is a better player than Matulino, I don't doubt that. Woods isn't twice as good as him though.

Woods is overrated - he's still good, but he's not as good as he's made out to be.

Matulino on the other hand is underrated.

Therefore value for money, woods would be better value. Of course you can't really know this unless you know the exact $ offered, but basing on reputation, woods is the more likely to be offered overs

My mail is pretty poor as you are all probably aware by now.

From what I am hearing Matulino, Whare and Lewis Brown are on the radar for the Tigers.
Out of the 4 WT want to keep all of them however, Woods and Teddy are likely to leave to the Bulldogs however, they have no interest in our halves as they are after Foran and Johnson.
Teddy is the Bulldogs main target however, If he stays they will go after Dugan. Dogs are seeking to release Reynolds, Graham, Hoppa and others so they will have cap space to make moves.

From what I can see with Woods demeanour as Captain he is leaving and from what he is asking 850 per season WT may not want him at that price.

We need to lock down Teddy and Moses and pay overs and move on with Cleary.

I dont think that info is too far wrong, Im hearing similar, though from what I understand we have Tedesco covered and the Bulldogs talk is just an exercise in contract inflation.

Hope you are right, Woods leaves we pick up Mataulino and Graham subsidised by the dogs, not bad as long as the Teddy staying bit works out.

If it's even true it has nothing to do with the decision made. It is a senior player, who is a member of the leadership group, telling younger players to pick their game up.

So to answer you question yes, if I am appointed to a senior position I may need to reprimand junior employees when they don't behave as required. If you wouldn't, you wouldn't be doing your job.
