Well by the sounds of it we are still in need of a goalkicker then. I hope Ivan doesn't neglect the importance of a better-than-average kicker. It is vital IMO.

Straight swap Flash Gordon for 1 or 2 years i say

Yes, would be happy with Gordon at the back for the next 2 years.
Heleta doesn't look like he is progressing that well in ISP Cup by all reports. He was gonna be next in line after Tedesco I thought, may have to pass him over in favour of Gordon.

Has never been my favourite player but he might be exactly what we need right now. Good stuff.

He isn't rivals favourite player but if you look at the bulldogs crowd he is their favourite player because he will give everything for his team. If anyone tries to say he wont put the same in for the tigers may not be aware he was a rooster fan growing up.

Good thing with the signings that have been made is that it's getting some experienced players mixed amongst the youth now. Players with big game experience. Good moves though I think they went harder then needed to get Reynolds could of picked him up for 650-700k

As said earlier in the thread he's marked on data analysis as a 6-7% cap player so tigers paid the right price if the cap is projected to be the 9.2mil

Just need Tuimoala Lolohea to sign now, then we would have the following side:

1.Lolohea 2.Nofoaluma 3.Idris 4.Suli 5.Naiqama 6.Reynolds 7.Brooks 8.Matulino 9.McIllwrick 10\. Ava 11.Aloiai 12.Lawrence 13.Taylor 14.Sue 15.Liddle 16.Felise 17.Tatola or Marsters

Hopefully the Tigers we release or not resign the following 7 players: Ballin, T. Grant, Lovett, Rankin, Hunt, LittleJohn and Edwards and go after some other players to fill our squad.

You forgot McQeen

Oh yes i can hear Hughes and tunks already….we've paid overs for our two signings...no doubt Marina Go will cop it again

Hughes and Tunks might be best looking at their old club. Sounds like they will be paying overs for Woods and Foran. And for their massive off-field spending on resources they aren't travelling much better than our club on the field.
Someone needs to remind Tunks and Hughes of this.

The irony of a player who plays finals every year coming to the club to replace a player who is leaving because he wants to play finals ( & going to a club that hasn't played finals since 2009 )

Wonder what is going to happen to Idris ?.

Still running into fitness and injury has slowed that up.

Would love to see him here next year if he can show his worth.

Forgot to add our English International Chris McQueen into that squad .. !!

Just need Tuimoala Lolohea to sign now, then we would have the following side:
1.Lolohea 2.Nofoaluma 3.Idris 4.Suli 5.Naiqama 6.Reynolds 7.Brooks 8.Matulino 9.McIllwrick 10\. Ava 11.McQueen 12.Lawrence 13.Taylor 14.Sue 15.Liddle 16.Felise 17.Aloiai 18\. Tatola or Marsters

What a great team on paper. How times change. The thought of losing the 3 divas would have made some us depressed. Now looking at that possible team im so excited for next year. Reynolds played origin which is no fluke. Watch the last 4 bulldog games and he is instrumental in their winning streak. Plays with heart and passion better than most. A great signing if confirmed.

Happy with this signing. Two grand finals, origin experience with motor and mongrel to boot.

Like matchball I wanted a grub and we've got one now.

Building nicely, apparently Ivan didn't get Happy's memo that no one would sign with us.

Reynolds is a very underrated player for the Bulldogs and will not impact on Brooks running the team. In my view we have seriously upgraded the 5/8 and Prop forward position not to mention McQueen. Lolohea would be a master stroke at fullback to replace Teddy make it happen.

Thinking more and more about this signing im quite content with it he brings the passion and desire that we lack, i just hope its nowhere above the $750 mark, $950 + car is just outrageous and if true shows we havent learnt our lesson.

I wanted Toovey as coach because he would have put some mongrel in the team. Having said that I like Cleary's approach so far and now Reynolds adds that mongrel element that was missing. Excellent signing in my view. Now just get a fullback and a quality centre to finish it off!

I think we were in the box seat to snare Reynolds. The three main clubs looking for halves were Parra, Bulldogs and Wests. Parra took ours, Bulldogs were after Foran and that left Reynolds out in the cold. I think we were the only real choice for him and we would have been in the box seat to make a sensible offer to him that wouldn't have been overs but not insulting.

$750K seems quite reasonable for a player of his talents given Moses wanted well more and he's not achieved anything Reynolds has.

Exactly this.

If moses is getting 7-800K at parra for potential, then isnt this guy worth around the same figure?

Good stuff - exactly what Brooks and the Tigers need.

So at this stage 2018…

1\. ?
2\. Noafaluma
3\. (Idris)
4\. Suli
5\. ?
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks
8\. Matulino
9\. (McIllwrick)
10.
11\. McQueen
12\. Lawrence
13\. Taylor

14\. Felise
15\. Aloiai
16\. Sue
17\. Liddle

Yes I'm quite happy with this signing…although not always the nice guy its what the tigers have needed for a long while. Really liking the way Ivan is going about things. Gives us hope for the future.
