500k per year for 3 years is a good signing.
His conversion to fullback has been a success. He will improve has youth on his side. It doesn’t matter who we front load as it’s a total cap number. I assume it will be existing players who we extend this year and want to keep or: Eiso, Marsters.

If we can sign Kelly, Lowe and extend Mikalele we should have room for another 5 or so players.

He brings a natural ball playing running game to the fullback position. Something that we have lacked for a while.

Benji will soon be gone, Reynolds doesn’t bring organisation. The pressure would be on Brooks.

However, bringing in Mbye adds an extra dynamic. Kicking game, organisation, etc.

And at 24 he may very well be our long term fullback.

Seems like this is happening, unlike the rubbish about Rona, Barba, Holmes etc that won’t die. Almost time to start discussing where we should play him.

I think his best positions in order are

Fullback
Hooker
Running 5/8.

His strengths are his speed and running game. He also can throw a quality long pass as half of his older highlights are long balls to Thompson and Rona.

Most likely be fullback imo
