Mbye can’t come soon enough IMO.

Tui had a shocker last night. He showed a serious lack of pace when the roosters made a line break and their two points before half time came off the back of his falcon/unwillingness to contest a high ball. Troubling signs to say the least.

Bring on Moses!

Couldn’t agree more
You won’t see me defending, talking x-factor or singing praises for Tui any longer!
With the announcement of Mbye during the week he had everything reason to impress against the Roosters but he didn’t even look interested!!!!
What a lazy bastard. You’ve lost me Tui.

Not clear how Holmes can advise Sharks anything? He's contracted until end 2019 Nd must seek a release.

Contracts mean squat these days, from both sides.
An environmental waste of good paper.

No I get that he can negotiate around his contract, but it's not up to him to "advise". It's up to him to request. He can advise all he wants, but only his employer can release him from a contract that ends in 18 months.

I was more implying that this is happening with all contracts, not just Mbye's.

A simplr shake of hands is long gone.

Also, a happy birthday to you sir.

Um…....not sure what’s going on here but can someone hack your account and post comments on your behalf.
Because I definitely did not say this.

What’s doing TonyTiger?

Why people are convinced he’s the saviour at fullback has me stumped. As mentioned earlier, he’s only played half a season at fullback. His asset will be his versatility, not the fact he”s a gun fullback.

100% agree with this.
I hope I am wrong, but the amount of people thinking he’s going to save us baffles me!

I agree he is not a gun. But he is a massive upgrade over Tui and has been performing well for the Dogs until being shopped.
We are not far away every quality player we bring in especially fullback, hooker or edge back row will make us a much better team.
We are seriously weak at these positions although until he comes it’s madness not playing Thompson at fullback.

That's what I think most people feel. Maybe not the best FB in the comp, but likely better than anyone currently on the roster.

If he comes into the side this year, I think he’s more likely to play hooker. That’s the position thst is killing us atm.

Why, he is not a hooker, and we bought him to play fullback, our current number 1 shows no urgency, is out of position a lot, and generally looks disinterested, so he needs to go.

Had a quick read on The Kennel and they've well and truly turned on Mbye. Doesn't seem to matter to them that he's only leaving because he's being pushed to relieve cap pressure. They all seem quite happy for him to leave asap as they just want him gone.

The same fans have also offered up Woods as their sacrificial lamb to the Sharks to relieve more cap space.

They basically see both in the same light we saw Woods, Moses and Teddy when we knew they were leaving.

It's a completely different situation to how the Tiger's players left our club but I can see why they would be over him. Mbye was touted as being the next big star and he really hasn't lived up to his price tag up until this point.

I have watched all bar one of Bulldogs games this year and Mbye is not the Messiah everybody thinks. Has a tendency to allow kicks to bounce, sound familiar. Remember the game against the Broncos. Lost game on the bell for pushing Darius however had ample opportunity to take that kick on the full in the first place. Will be a great addition as Utility.

He sure was a pointscoring phenom in the lower grades, Much like Ben Barba type, but with a more steady head. Tried to make him more of a traditional playmaker rather than off the cuff which sets him more than trying to play halfback.

He's no more a fullback than he is a hooker. Not established in either position.

He is a good footballer however and can play well in a number of positions.

I agree Col, streets ahead of Tui, at least Mbye tries.

Still a chance of coming this year…

Gee I hope so Yoss, we need a an injection of talent badly, we have the 3rd worst attack in the NRL, and the Dogs have played 1 less game. :frowning:
