Official Moses Mbye signs till 2022..

Woods wanted to go to a well run club that would play finals footy **I suppose they are well run** but their been run into the ground we could make their semi final hopes that little bit harder with a solid victory on Sunday come on Wests Tigers put them out of their misery.

Do you mean run as in excerising? Seeing as how they are offloading key players and signing nuffies in their place due to their cap, you can’t mean anything else. As for finals, they’ll be lucky to avoid the spoon let alone be in finals contention.

The Bulldogs are happy with Woods' contribution to the club, however there's been a realisation that their cap is too heavily invested in forwards when it's clear their problem is in the halves and backs.

They just realised? The average under 10s coach could spot that a mile off.

It sounds like an obituary to Woods' Bulldogs career and an invitation to WTs.

I hope we aren’t paying 700k cause that’s overs

Would’ve been happy with 500k

Reynolds and Moses Mbye both on 1.45 mil combined a season

Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge Cleary fan but I’m sick of hearing the “Cleary wont spend overs on one player” but we’re paying massive overs for both those two big time imo

Hope it pays off but oh boy for 1.45 mil we could do a lot better

Unbelievable signing if true. Only 24 years of age, has speed to burn, can play fullback or 5/8, can kick goals. For $550k an absolute bargain. Well done Ivan , doing things our previous coach could never dream off.

The previous coach didn't have the money or the resources at his disposal to even think about it! 2017 was always marked down as the year our purse strings were finally allowed to be opened - up until then, we could only window shop and bargain basement buy.

If Mbye is a done deal , does anyone else see the talk about Woods meaning a swap with JREY, we have plenty of halves, JR has left the Dogs physically, but maybe not emotionally, same could be said about Woods and the Tigers, MM is the only exTiger that I would Never have back

Interesting idea…
Would be a bit silly if it happened but wouldn't be opposed to it.. Jr has done nothing for us really.

Who's next for us
Taupau
Jayden Su'A
Or Mariner
All 3 players are a possibility of leaving their clubs
Taupau salary cap problems at manly
Su'A looking for offers now
Mariner salary cap problems at dogs
Which one would best suit our club

Won't get any of them (that's reality).

You cant say that for sure
We still have positions available
We still have money to spend
How much is the ?
And we have players coming off contract which will give us more money to spend
Does Ivan invest in no name players or is he after a proven player that can step straight into the team
What other clubs still have the big $ and are lacking 2nd row forwards
No one knows that for sure AT THIS STAGE

I'd bet vital parts of my anatomy that none of the 3 players you mentioned will be playing for the Tigers next year.

DOGS NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET

JUST 12 rounds into his career at the Bulldogs, we’re hearing the club is prepared to release Kangaroos and Origin front-rower Aaron Woods if another team are keen. We’ll watch this one closely as there are a number of clubs on the lookout for quality props.

Interestingly, board member and former coach Chris Anderson appears to be entrenching himself in much of the negotiating with players who have been told they can look elsewhere to ease the enormous salary cap pressure. We spotted Anderson having coffee in Cronulla Mall last week with fullback Moses Mbye and his agent.

Mbye is a sensational signing.
This is as close to marquee as you get.

Guy is class.
He’s got X factor.
The potential is simply huge!
I can hardly imagine a more mouthwatering prospect! Can’t believe we may have nabbed him!
WELL DONE TIGERS!!

Woods will join the other reject at parra.

Mbye is no marquee. He is another player that’s never lived up to the hype around him

I've met Moses through mutual friends and he's a good bloke. He has a young family and is not the sort of bloke who will pop up on the front page.
If you've seen him on nrl360 you will have noticed he is pretty smart.
He has been at the Bulldogs since he was very young so its not surprising that this is a big decision for him.

I'd be looking at one of the Sharks' youngsters (perhaps **Katoa**) if Barba comes home. Also the Eels' prop Alvarro, continues to improve and would be worth a look with reduced interchanges.

I watched Katoa today in ISP and he's fast, elusive and hard to tackle. I'd look at him.

I don't understand how they're under so much cap pressure into the future when the Morris twins and Eastwood are off contract at the end of this year. If they shift Mbye as well then they should in theory have plenty of cash. They don't have a deep roster, there are plenty of nuffies there. They must have some nasty back-ended deals with Tolman, Klemmer etc. that are going to bite next year or something…they should try to get rid of Tolman before Woods, although I suspect no other club is going to chip in all that much for Tolman.

1\. Meaney*
2\. Katoa*
3\. Auva'a*
4\. Hopoate
5\. Crichton/Montoya
6\. Coote*
7\. Foran
8\. Klemmer
9\. Lichaa
10\. Woods
11\. Faitala-Mariner
12\. Jackson
13\. Martin

14\. Marshall-King
15\. JJ Felise*
16\. Terepo/Matagi/Vave*
17\. Elliott

Not easy to make half a dozen signings when your club is in a mess but they should be able to get most of those relatively cheaply, even Coote given the lack of demand for him. They're lucky that their 2nd row is in pretty good order as that seems to be the hardest area for recruitment at the moment...I think they can turn it around fairly quickly if they recruit well.

You say that with confidence Willow
I would hate that to backfire on you
It's not something I would like to see
Am I to assume that you know exactly what Ivan has planned and are in the know
Do you already know who the last signings are
Has Ivan filled the Bus already ?

I would say this is where he will end up with his mate the slimy TURD Mitchy ..Parra need some forwards ,Woods can go right to the bottom of the tree as far as I am concerned ….

X2
We have the half’s pretty well covered even without Benji and Reynolds….. and providing Gamble learns how to tackle.
