Very strong rumour that young @PenrithPanthers prop Oliver Clarke will be onboard Ivan’s bus next year.

Saw this on Twitter. Any truth to it.

Meh, no idea who he is. Copying and pasting a tweet from a random person doesn't offer much proof. Nor how anyone on here would know any more.

Seems to be a young prop, former blues u20\. 190cm and 106kgs. Hopefully he runs hard, but not really sure we need another young prop though with Mikaele and Felise coming through the ranks and Twal and Eiso already in first grade

Was in the 2016 NYC team of the year at the Panthers which features some guns going around the NRL at the moment with our man Twal.

So it would be fair to say Ivan and Nathan would know a fair bit about him

I trust King Ivan

NYC team of the year is a pretty solid predictor of a future FG career, most of the kids do transition to firsts.

E.g. that 2016 team, most of them have made the transition except funnily enough for Clarke and the halfback:
Kalyn Ponga (Cowboys), Gideon Gela-Mosby (Cowboys), Robert Jennings (Panthers), Nick Cotric (Raiders), Joseph Manu (Roosters), Tyrone May (Panthers), Troy Dargan (Eels), Alex Twal (Eels), Brandon Smith (Cowboys), Oliver Clark (Panthers), Luciano Leilua (Dragons), Jaydn Su’A (Broncos), Nat Butcher (Roosters), INTERCHANGE Jayden Brailey (Sharks), Matt Dufty (Dragons), Tyrell Fuimaono (Eels), Dylan Edwards (Panthers)

For reference, 2015 side:
1\. Tom Trbojevic (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles), 2\. Gideon Mosby (North Queensland Cowboys), 3\. Jordan Drew (Brisbane Broncos), 4\. Addison Demetriou (Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles), 5\. Joseph Manu (Sydney Roosters), 6\. Te Maire Martin (Wests Tigers),
7\. Ashley Taylor (Brisbane Broncos), 8\. Viliame Kikau (North Queensland Cowboys),
9\. Jayden Berrell (Brisbane Broncos), 10\. Joe Ofahengaue (Brisbane Broncos),
11\. Coen Hess (North Queensland Cowboys), 12\. Tevita Pangai (Canberra Raiders),
13\. Jai Arrow (Brisbane Broncos), 14\. Latrell Mitchell (Sydney Roosters), 15\. Brent Naden (Penrith Panthers), 16\. Jayden Nikorima (Brisbane Broncos), 17\. Danny Levi (Newcastle Knights)

2014 team:
Jake Mamo (Knights), Valentine Holmes (Sharks), Sione Mata’utia (Knights), Brendan Elliot (Roosters), Nene MacDonald(Roosters), Te Maire Martin (Tigers), Drew Hutchison (Dragons), Andy Saunders (Panthers), Manaia Cherrington (Tigers), Sam Lisone (Warriors), Nelson Asofa-Solomon (Storm), Tepai Moeroa (Eels), Willis Meehan (Roosters), INTERCHANGE Danny Levi (Knights), Joseph Tapine (Knights), Addin Fonua-Blake (Dragons), Kane Elgey (Titans)

2013:
Jack Ahearn (Raiders), Dallin Watene-Zelezniak (Panthers), Hymel Hunt (Titans)
Charly Runciman (Dragons), Jonathon Reuben (Raiders), Samisoni Langi (Roosters)
Luke Brooks (Tigers), Matthew Lodge (Storm), Michael Lichaa (Sharks), Jake Trbojevic (Sea Eagles), Bryce Cartwright (Panthers), Corey Oates (Broncos), John Asiata (Roosters), INTERCHANGE Mitch Cornish (Raiders), Reagan Campbell-Gillard (Panthers)
David Bhana (Warriors), Cameron McInnes (Rabbitohs)

2012:
Evander Cummins (Dragons), Marika Koroibete (Tigers), Edrick Lee (Raiders), Nathan Green (Dragons), Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Roosters), Carlos Tuimavave (Warriors), Mitch Cornish (Raiders), David Klemmer (Bulldogs), Michael Lichaa (Sharks), Korbin Sims (Knights), Michael Chee-Kam (Raiders), Vaipuna Tia Kilifi (Panthers), Paul Carter (Bulldogs), INTERCHANGE Caleb Timu (Broncos), Chris Grevsmuhl (Cowboys), Luke Keary (Rabbitohs), Dylan Napa (Roosters)

It does appear however that of non-transition players, prop, centre and halves are the most common failures.

Big names on those lists. Recognise almost all of em.

Dargan has big wraps and some are still hopeful he will live up to expectations.

Thanks for posting.

Will probably mean the end of Sue and Grant in WT colours?

I reckon Sue might be kept around but Grant seems on his way out.

Grant's contract expires at the end of this season and I'd be highly surprised if we keep him. Clarke makes sense.

Wests Tigers are set to sign promising young Penrith Panthers front-rower Oliver Clark for next season.
Inside Sport understands the Tigers have targeted Clark to boost their forward stocks.

The 21-year-old prop has yet to play in the NRL, featuring for the Panthers NSW Cup team for the past two years.

Standing at 190cm and weighing in at 107 kilograms, Clark was part of the Penrith Under-20 side that won the premiership in 2015
