huh ?

I heard Madge talked him out of retirement but he said he’d only play in 2020 then he’s done. Someone correct me if I’m incorrect

Oliver Clarke's offload led to one of the Tigers tries. His work in defence is tireless, just like Eisenhuth. I think Clarke goes OK.

Read it too. Something about family business if memory serves me correctly

Yep that’s it

He's only playing due to injury, and that's how it should be. Not many clubs would get great production out of their 6th choice prop. He's solid in defence, but that's about it.
He's a plodder, another one I'm n not sure why Cleary signed him. Packer has to get picked ahead of film.

Probably because he won't be gassed after 5 minutes like Packer was.

Clark is alright for a depth prop. Good defender, battles making any impact with the ball though. I think the same of Seyfarth who is basically the same player for less minutes. Madge needs to make a decision on which one will go at the end of the year.

Clark has saved out team in last ditch tackles close to our line on more than one occasion. I have confidence when he is on the field because like Twal he will tackle. Some of you should take a look for the real plodders and wastes of space in our team, starting with Joey L in the centre. The Club can write all it likes about Maguire giving him a dressing down but he will not change. Clarke is a team player and I would have him watching my back over that true waste of space.

Couldn’t agree more 👌🏽
Clarke in his last two games has been huge in defence.one of our few players that can really jam someone in a tackle

Some pretty rough assessments of a back up prop. I reckon he is a gun as a back up prop.

If he could produce more balls like he did for that 2nd try you could love him .....but he just gets dominated far too often in attack

With Huth you only need one really ...but if we kept a 2nd for back up Clark

No reason McIntyre couldn't fill that role ...OK a bit light on but he plays above his weight , has aggression at least , is mobile and doesn't get dominated in attack

Gould offered him to Cleary.

On the money he would be on he is a very good backup.Compare him to Packer/McQueen as value for money and i know who i would rather have

Understand your point Paws but I have a feeling we will see a more mature Joey as a result of his brain explosion. Hope so anyway - the Madge spray is one thing but he was also aware of his 2 kids growing up and seeing the sort of crap he dished out the other week. He can be very dangerous for us. As alluded to in his Madge chat, Joey has not prepared well this year and is physically nowhere near where he needs to be for first grade. Part of his poor decision making has come from issues with fatigue....the other part if getting his head right which could be more difficult!

I hate to be negative, but surely I’m not the only one who think he’s a complete plodder offers legit nothing in attack - half decent in defence but doesn’t make up for his poor attack whatsoever

Surely he has something on Madge, I can’t see how he manages to get selected let alone start every week....

I think it would be good if a lot of people on this Forum gave some of these young blokes a go.

Clark has played 14 games (5 this year for a total of 164 minutes, equivalent of 2 games) and he is only 23. Props in Rugba League do not mature until much later, he is learning his craft. They are also much further behind than the island boys. He has been rushed into the NRL because we are short.

The same as Hoffman the other night, people calling him a plodder and give him the flick after 80 minutes. That's ok, play him out of position, and have him play along his captain (which all should have been a good learning curve) should have,
instead he got hung out to dry and people are calling for him to be given the flick.

Some of these youngsters are only playing NRL because of our predicament, possibly playing 1 or 2 seasons too early, they are only helping out, but that is alright, crucify them anyway.

Some people are saying Madge is doing the right thing, build the team up from the bottom, buy really good young blokes etc. Neck minute, he's a plodder, why did we get him, slow as a wet week, get rid of him....blah, blah, blah.

Some of these young blokes may be the real deal, they may turn out to be duds, I don't know but we need to give them a go for God's sake.

If not go back to buying old blokes who are nearly cripples, that suck up the salary cap and sit out their early retirement in cc or in the injury room.
