He didn’t mate . It was Liddle . He’s amazing at putting the forwards onto the footy , and little deception around the ruck . Like little jinks to the left , and going right . Then Doing it again and actually going left . He watches what the first marker does (most teams have the first marker shoot , then the second trail ) .

To be fair, Grant was doing that pre injury. Taking nothing away from Liddle.

If he stays healthy for a season, watch out.

Ultimately, it's not just that Grant went to lock or Liddle went to hooker,....Benji wasn't involved! Brooks took complete control, Liddle gave him everything he wanted and Grant was a super smart link. I'll bet Brooks will be the first to wave Benji goodbye.

It was on FOX, so maybe on their website, he got a little put off when they asked about his form or if he had anything to prove

It's pretty rough blaming him with no proof. I reckon the no contract is probably his and his managers fault. They were pushing for another year and decided to make some noise.

I have no proof though. It could also be Reynolds. They both seem to have relationships with the media.

The whole thing looked clunky all game, even when we stormed home to win, and honestly I thought Grant's service and decision-making was sub-par, for him. I don't agree with the OP that Grant managed the game.

I actually agree with the comments that Liddle steadied the ship, and fair enough he was rested, but his service was really solid and Harry did well in his little Wombat/McInness cameo as hooker-cum-lock.

Benji looked like he had two left hands and he looked shot for stamina. Brooks - well good to see recognition from the commentators that he was practising the match-winning kick at length in the warm up.
