Once bitten, twice shy: Moltzen staying for three more years

He was atrocious tonight. I don't care if he drops a bomb, I understand they're hard to take, especially with 3 or 4 guys steaming towards you. Even Slater drops them time to time.

But his support play tonight was non-existant. He was NOWHERE to be seen. The way Beau ran through for Benji's bombs last week was outstanding. Moltzen was NEVER looking to catch an offload, he was always standing behind the play and being lazy.

And with the obstruction try from Penrith, once he got tapped he made no effort to try and get to Walsh anyway. He simply just threw his hands in the air and said "too hard".

I'm sick of his attitude and will be frustrated if we have to put up with his weak performances for much longer (still no official word from the club on his signing…?)

Please tell me there is a clause to boot him at any given time because I don't think I can stand him for another two years. If Tedesco doesn't manage to give him the boot next year I'm going to struggle to watch our games.

Only bloke with real pace
Trying my best to like him….finding it difficult

Lawrence showed some old school pace tonight. Got through that gap nicely then put the accelerators down, was great to see.

Same old old people bagging him again - most probably hoping he didn't save a try so they could bag him more . Yawn…..... He's here for a while yet so get used to him

I'm guessing that Tauber and Moltzen talks have been put on hold with Luke Lewis coming in the market

Luke Lewis would be a better fullback ,centre ,half back or utility on his worse day than Moltzen

I very much doubt that.

if terms are agreed as stated by moltzen and tauber, then I cannot see the club backing out on a handshake agreement. (and nor would I want them to even if Jesus frickin christ belatedly came on the market.)

it would be appallingly unethical and unconscionable regardless of what you think of the player as an individual.

Not that I think we should conduct business like that, but Tauber/Moltzen didn't think it was unreasonable to back out of the Dragons deal when it suited them.

gifted athlete…pea heart....and i don't often bag tiger players

Nice comment from a pea brain.

Look CK Moltzen was that bad last night bar the tackle he should be paying us to play for the Tigers

If we miss out on Lewis because we didn't have the money and wasted it on Moltzen , people need to answer some serious questions about our recruitment policies

C'mon CK

Try tell us that Moltzen would be more worthwhile than Lewis in any way ,shape or form :crazy

wat a ridiculous statement.. people see it as they call it and to say that without arguing against them is ridiculous.

saying that, i have always supported moltzen as he brings pace and good last line defense to the team, but more importantly he tends to work on things that he had been bagged for like catching the high ball, he has improved vastly in that area.

3 more years?? it's a massive gamble, he has potential but i hope he doesn't keep in from players out of the team.

Three more years of fumbling, bumbling and indecision with the occasional game where he doesn't actually leak points and might pull his weight. Another great decision from the brains trust. Nice to have friends in high places. Wonder who he will bump out of a job? How many positions are there left for him to excel in?

Is there an official statement from the club on this?
What does it tell you if they did re-sign him for 3 years and decided not to announce it?

Isn't it great to have a fullback who couldn't catch a cold.

Thank god we have a real fullback returning next season.

Actually he could catch a cold Hybrid , but he would hand it off before you know it

Same goes with Beau Ryan's mysterious new 3 yr contract that no one has heard boo about. Is the club just leaving all their official announcements to Beau Ryan on the footy show now?
