Lets be honest. Fans that want to play at LO or CSS are just fans of the old clubs or live close to those venues.

Foxtel $70 a month for 32 games plus I have my personal chef in the kitchen ?

Seriously though ..
I’m 80km from Leichhardt and it’s usually a great day out ..
I don’t understand the whingers that piss and moan about the facilities because they can’t hold there bladders .
Have lunch or whatever before you go ..
Piss on before you go ..
Take in pre mixed drinks or cans in your pockets ..
Relieve yourself before you go ..
The game goes for 80 friggin minutes ?

If the old girl and CSS are to see lesser games in the future I’d like to see
8 games at either ANZ or SFS
2 at Leichhardt
2 at CSS
This should please the folks that suffer from incontinence .

No just no. You want to build membership not deter membership. Facilities count, big time. You can't introduce people to third world facilities, and that's exactly what they are at LO, and expect them to be thrilled with the experience.

And one day the suburban grounds will be gone and you’ll piss and moan forever how they are missed ..
Going to suburban grounds with 20k fans is what footy is all about .

I thought LO looked great last game, it’s easy to pack it out, which looks fantastic on the box, why would you leave?

Dunno mate ..
Old dudes like @mike don’t want to get dirt on there slippers ?

How good was the Ariel shots from the drone with the Sydney skyline in the background!
Make for an awesome man cave print !

I want to expand membership, not shrink it. That's all you are doing trying to preserve third world facilities.

Post up membership figures !

I've posted attendance figures. That should give you a clue.

The attendance figures actually back up the LO & CSS argument. By definition LO hosts small drawing teams and yet is averaging less than 3K less than BW.

Ever been to Leichhardt on a Sunday arvo?

All the time. A packed hill looks great on TV. Even played many games there in my youth. It's a derelict sad place these days. If it could be redeveloped.... but it won't be, so I am a realist.

Splash out on a membership, leave the hill to day trippers.

It’s sad mate you’ve succumbed to the big corporates ..

I sell out at every opportunity....

I have a membership, thanks very much. The day trippers for one day a year, yeah sure.

I keep hearing how "derelict" the old girl is. I sit on the "concourse" in front of the grandstand and I swear there is no better seating in RL. Easy walk to a huge clean toilet, food and beer. Genuinely not sure what Im missing out on and what needs to be improved.

You can't even lock the toilet doors under the stands. The score board is often difficult to follow (I can show you pictures). They wheel in an electronic scoreboard on a trailer, that can't be viewed in the afternoon sunlight. Nothing at the other end of the ground. The hooter often doesn't even work, in the first match an official had to jump up and down on the sideline to get the refs attention. The food is dished out from a food van. There is literally a cesspit at one end of the ground. When it rains several GA areas become a quagmire. The corporate facilities are laughable. The seating slope in the stands are the wrong height, you literally see the head of the person in front of you. But sure the hill looks great on TV.

Mate plenty of times going back to Amco cup days. Was even at juniors last game. Remember a game v the donkeys in the pouring rain about 03. The year Covell debuted. Buhger all people there that day
Great atmosphere but never really enjoyed going there when the crowd goes over 12k. Can't see anything down the sideline if your on the hill.
I just don't think a successful NRL club belongs in these types of grounds. Not more than one have a year anyway.

That is the actual question that needs answering. So far Ive seen/read a heap of subjective wishy washy things about feelings but nothing resembling a logical reason.

If we want our club to compete in a crowded Sydney market we need to have strong financial performance that supports a healthy football club that can invest in its teams. Corporate sponsorship is a major element of being financially successful. LO whilst a beautiful place to watch footy on a Sunday afternoon has extremely limited corporate facilities and moving grounds every other round also means you can’t offer that corporate support (or indeed fans) a consistent product to sell sponsorships and memberships. The Sydney market is crowded with teams and even if the risk of being moved or kicked out of the NRL is low, if we aren’t competitive then we will just become a perpetually underperforming club that cannot attract talent (if we aren’t already). With the salary cap flat across the league, how do we attract the players when the roosters, rabbits, eels and panthers can offer the ability to live in Sydney and play in a successful system that competes for premierships.

At the risk of repeating myself........WHY?

Give a reason.

If we had ALL our games at ANZ or Bankwest, we make less money and annoy the punters who like LO & CSS. If we had all of our games at LO or CSS we would make less money and we would lose Mike.

To me the current situation is the most sensible but others disagree, because of...........feelings?

8 at one ground would be better.

I said either !
And it’s easy for you to whinge cause you live in WA ?

I get the irony as I don't get to games. But my view is unbiased because of that.

It reality the game is made for TV.

Only only long weekends like Easter and Anzac Day do we get bumper crowds in the regular season .

Panthers are flying high and they don’t seem to have to move games to accommodate more than 20 thousand
fans .

But use 1 ground. Just need to pick one. Eenie meenie minnie moe will do.

I disagree we make less money. I believe we would build our supporter base and corp support. You can't give facts that prove we make more money this way.

I was told to my face by a WT board member (I cant prove this obviously) but if you go back a few pages, someone posted a good and pretty accurate break up of revenue and cost for all grounds.

The point is Stadiums NSW pay us $100K per game (will be going down in the near future) to use their grounds based on the understanding that we will NOT play our lowest drawing games there because they result in a loss to Stadium NSW. If we increase the number of games that result in a loss for the owner, what do you think happens to the money they pay us?

All hearsay. Also don't know that it will be going down in the future, it would be up for negotiation. That is an assumption you have made to support your position. The future commercial arrangements could very well be in Wests Tigers favour. We don't know yet.

Yes the future commercial arrangements should play a big part in which home ground is chosen.

Sorry but that's hearsay, not facts. A board member is gonna tell you anything to justify their decisions.
Souths and dogs have used ANZ as one home ground for decades so I don't believe it doesn't make financial sense. We played at ANZ before south's so we would have been offered their deal.

I am not discussing future commercial arrangement, Im discussing current and it is exactly as Im telling you. Yes I cant prove what this board member told me but it remains a fact that if we play the loss making clubs at ANZ, there is less money.

What market factors are pushing up prices for the stadia? COVID? Increasing streaming of games? Monopoly ownership of stadia?

8 at one ground would be better.

I said either !
And it’s easy for you to whinge cause you live in WA ?

I get the irony as I don't get to games. But my view is unbiased because of that.

***Sorry but that's hearsay, not facts. A board member is gonna tell you anything to justify their decisions.***

Mate, I cant prove it, but the board member has been a family friend all my life and he was making the case why we dont have the one ground.

Seriously, if you think he is lying to me, what do YOU say is the reason we have 3 games at LO & CSS? To appease people after 20years?
Souths and dogs have used ANZ as one home ground for decades so I don't believe it doesn't make financial sense. We played at ANZ before south's so we would have been offered their deal.

Lets be honest. Fans that want to play at LO or CSS are just fans of the old clubs or live close to those venues.

Nothing will change until the current commercial agreements are completed. I'm taking about what we do after those arrangements have finished.
