Woods said he would go into more detail once he's gone and in his safe space at Belmore. Would be ironic if he's mouthing off about us while his new club is without a coach.

I think he was ready to be punted and what saved him was the fact he pulled off signing Foran.
You would have to assume that Foran only went there because of Hasler. Foran himself requires a high level of support to keep out of trouble, that's pretty clear, so what are the odds of Foran striking a winner at the Dogs without Hasler? Pretty long…
@ said:I'd have Woods back on fair money and with a public apology to the fans. I'm not sold on giving coaches too much slack though. Results matter a lot. My expectation is that the coaching staff get the most out of the players that they have and make good recruitment and retention decisions.
So far I think Cleary deserves to at least see his contract out. If he continues the way he has I'd have him here for a lot longer.

Youve called him scum for months now yet youd have him back? He has played well lately but make no mistake, he has done a lot of damage to this squad. He does not deserve to enjoy the good times that may come after the way he acted.
We reap what we sow.

A public apology and fair wages to me though would be enough to accept him back. What do you think the likelihood of Woods issuing a public apology and accepting a fair wage is ? I think it will never happen.
I have never seen players disrespect the club like the 3 ingrates that we have overpaid for years on end. I still find it amazing that people stick up for them on here. I'd attend a public lynching.

@ said:No way would I take him back. Shat on the club for months and heeled it.
Stuff him, don't care how well he's playing.
@ said:Good on ya Woods, he still misses the point. The greatest players, or even a rung down and let's just talk about the current top players all have one thing in common. It's about the team first. What's best for the individual is a distant consideration to what is best for the team.
For players who put themselves first or what they think is good for their family, they will never reach that top level.
And of course, it is the players who do everything they can for the team, putting the team first, that are often more highly revered, valued and reap the biggest rewards as an individual (and for their family).
Look at the Bulldogs, who is their most team-focused player, with little argument it's J.Reynolds. Not the most skilled, but the most team-focused. And his departure is causing massive problems for them, arguably contributing to their derailing season. Is Woods leaving causing us that much trouble? Pfft, he has already been replaced.

Its crazy that they didn't try to keep grub in some capacity. Even if they did sign Foran, you probably could have slotted Reynolds into hooker. And he'd probably do a good job. But unfortunately the Dogs have a noose around their necks named Moses Mbye who is on a lot more than he's worth, so out of reluctance they have to move him to 9 and get rid of Reynolds. I'm sure they'd wish it were the other way round. Good to see we can benefit from another club's stupidity for a change.
