Technically Aussie by birth. Lived most of her life in NZ it would seem though:

I know our sponsors and our marketing people want lots of media coverage, but I would put 100% ban on all media except for what we are obliged to do under contract

putting the boot on the other foot if WT did not have to honour RF's contract then should MM have to honour his contract? Just being the devil's advocate. The irony is they booted the consistently good player and kept the dud. Which was better on the night two rounds ago!

The club were going to honour Farah's contract. He would be paid out in full if he stayed on. Don't even bother suggesting otherwise.

You have a point there but the difference of attitude on the field is as broad as the Grand Canyon. Even in reserve RF still pulled his weight. I think my signature or whatever it is called says it all - Farah contributed more than the Big Four combined.

**Des Hasler facing the axe at Canterbury Bulldogs**

DES Hasler signed a two-year contract extension only a few months ago - but the former Test star is fighting for his coaching life at the Bulldogs.

I am hearing that elements within the Bulldogs football and leagues clubs boards are set to push to pay Hasler out if the Bulldogs fail to make the finals.

Sources say although Hasler signed a massive deal, his payour is capped at around $500,000 a season, making it feasible for the Dogs to pay him out.

If he does go, the club will push for former favourite son Dean Pay to take over as head coach.

Pay has served a long apprenticeship and is currently Ricky Stuart’s right-hand man at Canberra.

Canterbury have lost six of their last seven games and are playing with little confidence or cohesion in attack, putting their finals chances in real doubt.

The board is under massive pressure from irate fans, who are demanding changes be made at the club.

Guys i remember on Nrl 360 that woods stated that he could not sign with a club that did not have a first grade coach in place. well well the dogs are in turmoil. hasler has been told unless they make the finals this year he will be punted. ive been thinking about this rationally and the dogs are no chance of the eight this year. So who will be the coach. Could it be jason taylor. does woods have a get out clause if hasler is punted. do we want him back. his form has been good

There is no way jason Taylor will ever get a head coaching job again in the NRL no club would want the turmoil he brings.As far as Woods is concerned he has burnt his bridges at our club and i honestly cant see any way back(because of the actions of himself)

Don't be so sure. He might be high on the list for a club who needs a clean out. He's become the modern day Brian Smith. He might not win you a comp, but he will clear the deadwood and bare the brunt of the storm for his replacement.
 
Hasler should of not been resigned the writing was already on the wall..he had his time .There is something smelly going down at the dogs , when you have such a well credentialed and respected CEO walk away something stinks and not in a good way ,Woods made his bed how ironic!

I think he was ready to be punted and what saved him was the fact he pulled off signing Foran.
 
If …. and it is unlikely in my opinion .... but if Woods wanted back in to the Tigers I'd take him in an instant. Not as captain, and certainly not on $700k. He's a great metre eater, he's popular with his team mates and he plays quite long minutes. Now we have the Bruise Brothers coming to the club, Woods' contribution would be just what we need as the 3rd prop in the rotation.
Anyway, as I said, most unlikely to occur.

You would have to assume that Foran only went there because of Hasler. Foran himself requires a high level of support to keep out of trouble, that's pretty clear, so what are the odds of Foran striking a winner at the Dogs without Hasler? Pretty long…
 
No way would I take him back. Shat on the club for months and heeled it.

Stuff him, don't care how well he's playing.
 
And Woods, no thanks. Though he has the niggle in spades, he's always lacked the mongrel/ passion which I thought would make him great. He has shown his colours, and they aren't orange, white and black.

Funnily enough, I think he would command more respect from fans if he stepped down from the Wests Tigers captaincy role now. That at least would be honourable.
