Forum has been a bit quiet of late and I saw people discussing Shannon Gallant in another thread so the biggest biceps on the forum ; **demps** brings you a new topic to discuss.

I know some posters take things the wrong way so to make it real simple to understand; what are your thoughts, opinions and rating of players who formerly played for WT that still play in the NRL.

A few spring to mind, for me - but feel free to add to the list and name players and your opinion or thoughts on them. I'll start things off with the following, NB: no crying.
\
\
**Bronson Harris** 8/10
Consistently plays well, is a part of the openly proclaimed strongest pack in the NRL.
_Would I welcome him back? Definitely :slight_smile:_

**Shannon Gallant** 4/10
As stated was mentioned in a few other threads, struggling to get a crack with the basement dwellers.
Not really a fan, played well sometimes, had some speed but an average footballer at best.
_Would I welcome him back? Not interested_

**Dene Halatau** 6/10
Used to be one of my favorite players when he played for us, good utility option, however after leaving us he hasn't really done much for the dogs. I imagine he'll be playing in super league in the not to distant future as the dogs won't really have much need for him.
_Would I welcome him back? Don't see where he'd fit into our current team. Would have to give him a miss this time, unfortunately._

**Dane Laurie** 0/10
Can't say too much about this guy without breaking many of the forums rules.
_Would I welcome him back? Wouldn't even let him mow my lawn._

**Isaac De Gois** 4/10
Has a good game every 1 out of 7 - don't really rate him at all, I think he'd be bottom 10 hookers in the NRL.
_Would I welcome him back? Naaa_

**John Morris** 6/10
Was a good player for us, always stepped up in whatever role. Seemed like a good dude also, however I don't watch many Sharks games because they're imo one of the boringest teams in the comp. Wish him the best tho
_Would I welcome him back? Can't see how he'd fit into our team. Sorry John._

**Scott Prince** 9/10
Not much to say about Princey, he helped WT get to the 05 finals and nowadays he constantly tries his best and sees results.
_Would I welcome him back? No. Would rather stick with Lui_

**Ben T'eo** 6/10
Average player, not the best defender or attacker. Has a good game every now and then but overall not impressive.
_Would I welcome him back? Naa, not needed & Beau Ryan is no doubt a better footy show star._

Most of those players i wouldnt worry about but i still have a soft spot for halatau who was injured for most of last year, also prince was a major loss when he went but i am happy with lui & moltzen. Two other players we missed when they went were laffranchi & ritchards.

what about Anthony Laffranchi , Ben Roberts , Mitchell Pearce, Dean Collis and the second rower \hooker who left for dogs and now at roosters had a brother who was also contracted at tigers in 06 I think ,name slips my mind, Shannon McDonnell, Flanagan probably more can't think of any ????

i guess you didn't read the post properly, i wasn't going to name EVERY SINGLE player.
said feel free to add names and opinons not point out i didn't name every other player

and who is Ben Roberts? from the Bulldogs?
He's been with them since 06 and hasn't played for any other club….

Pearce was never with the Tigers - he was a North Sydney junior before joining Easts!!

I have absolutely no clue about the 2nd-rower/hooker to Dogs now Rooster you mention HT!!

The only bloke who fits that description is Halatau & he is still at the dogs!

Nigel Plum was at Wests Magpies - then there's Danny Galea at Canberra + Corey Payne at the dogs!

Ben Roberts was a Wests junior & was part of our 7s squad in 2004 - but got left out at the last minute demps!

what don't you know !? lol
cheers man, i couldn't recall benny roberts ever playing for wests and did some research and couldn't find much.
even wiki said he's been with the dogs and thats all club level since 06..

p.s. corey payne is soft

I saw a glimpse of it once… But I thought Mitchell Pearce was definately in the Fraser to Farah Book... Perched up along side of one Kurtley Beale?? I could be wrong... But I don't think so?? He is Definately a Balmain Junior!!
There is David Gower... I rate him and believe we should have had him on the bench last year at least!! He'd have more metres in him than Flanno (Nothing against Flanno he's a great guy... Just a tad slender for BR IMO)
Whatuira.... Maybe, But I think his time has passed... I can't forget that break in the GF but, ONYA FATZ!!
Bronson... Have him back in a heartbeat, Him running the fringe on one side... Gaz on the other!! He made a gravy with our defense in the final!!
Princey... If I could swallow his 2006 efforts or lack there of, I'd consider it?? I still think he got Benjis' Churchill Medal
And Elf... Probably find somewhere for him?? He was a good guy!!
And dispite current Dilemmas... I believe Ryan Tandy is a quality forward!!

No he is not Batboy!!!!

I can assure you that Mitchell went to Marist College North Shore - attended primary school at St Ives & made North Sydney junior rugby league rep teams while playing for Asquith Magpies!!!!

That is why he was up for grabs when he came of age (due to Norths having no path to top grade football)!!

Don't doubt it mate… But the book is about Balmain Juniors and I'm almost certain there is a photo of him in it... Like I said I could be wrong, But I don't think so??

Remembered name Nick Kouparitsas I'm sure Pearce was at Tigers because I remember he left about same time that all happened that Gower from Penrith had a go at his Pierces sister at that golf day , but i trust your word Red Demps was not trying to be smart just throwing a few extra names out there Would take the current Bronson Harrison back and possibly Laffranchi

Pearce never played (EDIT: Correction) junior reps in the Balmain district mate - that is a fact!!

As I said - he was already living on the North Shore when he was primary school age (and winning state athletics titles in the 800m)!

Sheens did try to get him to the Tigers but he preferred Easts after he finished at Norths!

The reference in the book may have been for another reason!

Kurtley Beale is another interesting one if he is in there! He is a Mt Druitt league junior & his only ties to the Balmain district come from him playing union at St Josephs, Hunters Hill!

Not trying to a be a know-it-all or put crap on you buddy - but I am just relaying the facts as I know them!!

HT - thanks for Kouparitsis (no wonder I forgot him) - and you are right we also had his younger brother Kosta (a prop) playing in the juniors! They were originally Canberra juniors however!

mitchell pearce and kurtley beale both play a season or 2 for the north ryde hawks!

That I was unaware of & I'll take your word TD!!

As I have stated though - Pearce was a Norths junior rep (Matthews, Ball etc) & Beale was a Mt Druitt junior who must've played for the Hawks while boarding at Joeys!

correct, my mate boarded with him and took him to play while he was at joeys! not sure about the whole pearce thing though, he def was a north sydney junior and played all junior reps there but he did have a season or even a couple with north ryde

Just called a mate at the Hawks & he confirmed Beale & Pearce played u/12s there in 2001 for just that year!

Beale: union at Joeys. Tore up my schools First XV many times whilst still 16

Pearce: I played in his comp for two years (U16 and U17). He played for Asquith Magpies. If he was playing for ryde it must have been when he was younger in which case it hardly counts.

edit: just saw your post red. U/12 shouldn't count at all.

yes it was definately when beale just started high school as he played with my mate and he only attended joeys for yr 7!

Sorted then?? The only reason I remebered it, Was because I was so surprised Beale played League!! I didn't know how long he was around or why… I just knew that he was.
Cheers,

Id rate Halatau a 2/10, he has very ordinary commitment to defence and im very happy we let him go.

De Gois is a good hooker and i'd rate him a 7

Cheers,

Sorry if I miseld you mate - but aside from one year at u/12s I was correct - and I agree with kul that u/12s is not worth counting as a junior as it is before junior reps commence and before either player enters that development system!

Cheers!
