Options for the 6 jersey in the future

Wondering if anyone is as concerned as myself with our options beyond 2014 to play 5/8

With the injury issues with Moltzen ,Moses and Anasta's contract up it leaves us with an injury prone Moses ,Blake Austin who is an unknown quantity (but looks ok from all reports ) or possibly Temaire Martin who Potter has big wraps on

Not sure what Martins size stats are but he is still young also

With the extra money we will have left in the cap should we start looking for an experienced 6 for the future or will Martin ,Moses or Austin be the next in line and fill the role

Moses for sure. Bit early in his life to call him injury prone.
He'll definitely get a run at some point this season

Moses is a few years away physically and mentally. Not a criticism of him at all, just the way of things.

Anasta or Austin will suffice
 
If we buy someone….then we will lose someone. Are you prepared to let any of those players you mentioned go Happy? I think the quality is there and hopefully Austin fills the void until the others are ready.
 
I think we have a couple of options. The best option to me is Moses simply because he looks the best player. I think that should be the criteria when choosing who to play.

Apart from that I think Sirro at 6 this year is a good option. Anasta & Austin based on what I have seen (very little of Austin) aren't going to do the job for us.
 
It's hard to make a fair judgement off the 9's, but playing against men Moses looked a little hesitant in defense. I'd like to see him eased into NSW Cup in a similar fashion to Brooks last year.

From all reports Austin played well against Penrith, I'd be interested to see how he fairs when paired with Brooks.
 
Early days, lets see how things are in two months. I have a feeling with our forwards beefed up in 2014 and a real no7, life will be a little easier for our no6 who ever it might be. Obviously the club view Mosses as our long term no6 down the track in the mean time Anasta and Austen will probably share the role in 2014 with Mosses a chance to get the gig mid 2015.

After one trial and a few games of nines Iam not going to start death riding any players
 
Happy I know where your coming from, for years due to cap restraints,penny pinching,hoping for a miracle or what ever reason we have always tried to pick up a cast off and hope they turn out a super star. From now on we have to be smart and surround our young quality kids with some real elite players in the key positions.

I just think we need to wait a few months and see how this squad pans out, of course if their was some real quality on the market for 2015 I would be making some contact. I just think we need to be a 100% sure where we need to direct our dollars for 2015
 
Unfortunately it is obvious that Moses has not got the body for footy, a shoulder injury again in a very soft attempt of a tackle, you either have a strong body or you don't it is not the size of the body .I could give many examples of this principle over the years with small and light men with strong body's that can sustain week in week contact. My prediction is if the Tigers want a 5/8 the chq book will have to be opened.

Moses is definitely not up to 1st grade yet , they have resigned him purely on potential

Did you watch the 9's. Based on that he is well above Anasta and Austin. It was 9 a side but on that performance he is already the best option.

He would be but in the limited games I have seen him play he looks to be potentially a very special talent.

I hope he fully develops at the Tigers.

Does Mitchell Mosses play other positions? I thought he played centre or fullback for Holly Cross when Sironen played 6 and Brooks 7.

For this year I hope Austin plays very well.
