That was a perfect game by Qld. 70% possession, more than double metres gained & 150 less tackles.

Unbelievable performance.

38 sets to 15 against a team of that quality we were no chance. Score reflective of the amount of possession. They definitely played the perfect game.

Hope he doesn't bring the attitude back he played with tonight. Whoever got in his ear and told him to play like a bully - giving 4 penalties away trying to be an enforcer, needs ridicule. He was fine just the way he was in games 1 and 2.

Mate. Not one of those penalties was good. 3 for slowing the ruck when he was already up. One for having the ball thrown at him. One for Hodges lifting his own players leg.

While it doesn't seem like it atm, that loss later on will probably be a blessing for the Blues. They clearly believed their own press that they were on the cusp of a golden era, it will teach them not to get big heads. Whereas a narrow loss probably would have kept their illusion alive. A nice reality check for guys like Woods and Klemmer.

He's the sole reason why the streak was broken. He's the backbone of that team. Inglis, Thurston, Hodges etc get all the credit, but they're nothing without Cronk.

Tend to disagree GNR - I think they knew better than anyone having actually played against the Queensland SOO team how difficult it is to beat them, mentally and physically. The press stuff that we read is the fluff that gets the fans going and escalates the rivalry. Lets not assume that we are wiser than the players involved about what it takes to win a SOO of origin series. Sometimes your best is just not good enough.

Was watching with some ex Blues players - they knew the storyline.

Yeah the spine was rubbish….the Q spine continually asked questions and our did not at all.

I do wanna have a whinge though......the last two games my teams have played in, we have been buttjacked by the refs.

First the tigers re eels and that first half display for NSW was just atrocious....soft penaltyathon that gave Q all the ball and field possession.
