Origin 2023

I'm not at all concerned about the loss.

We were outcoached without a doubt.
Outplayed sure.

I'm not saying it wasn't a commendable effort and I am not saying that Qld didn't make the most of the opportunities.

I am saying that the Qlder courage and they wanted it more story is BS. They were gifted opportunities by ill discipline, and brain farts by individuals in the NSW team (TPJ/Hynes).

You have jumped on the media narrative with the rest of the state. I don't buy any of it.

We never hear that type of BS when NSW has a win - the whole of Qld goes silent on the courage and jersey story.

I lived in Qld long enough to see through the crap.

Some selection considerations for Freddy and co.

Teddy for Edwards
Mitchell and Graham for Turbo and Crighton
Hynes or Luai - can't have both
TPJ for any NSW prop with 1/2 a brain
Cook and Api

Qlders aren't super men with superior pride in the jumper and state. They had a good day, NSW had a shocker. The dynasty was simply a superior team now it's more about how the 50/50 calls go and pivotal moments.

What if TPJ didn't have a brain fart in attack?
What if the Hynes up and in snuffed out the play?
What if the bunker awarded the Frizz try?
Collins effort for the last try was great, but still an opportunity try

Let's see what the story is in three weeks.

Bring on the Faders
So everyone else is wrong and you are right yeah?
Did QLD play the perfect game? We had our share of brain farts and errors, the bunker screwed us with APIs try and Flegglers sin bin.
You can bleat about how bad NSW were till the cows come home. QLD have proven numerous times over the past 5 years that a staunch attitude will beat talent.
If you are going to continue missing what is staring you in the face, it will eat you up.

100%. We employ the old school “do to others as you’d have them do to you”.
Living up here means sooner or later Mother Nature will smack you in the chops. Knowing you have a community behind you helps get over these instances and back on your feet.
I’m sure this happens in other states as well, we just have to do it more regularly.
Cammy Smith talking to the boys at half time.

Winners win.

The story will be the same.
We've got a coach who was verging on putting the St. George rapist in the team.
Things will only get worse.

There are plenty in NSW who have a similar opinion. I'm not phased there is another game in three weeks.

I thought Api was one of their best players last night.
Cook was very ordinary against the Raiders.

Tedesco used to get by on being a hog because he was so quick and elusive, he's dropped 5% pace and he's not as effective. Picking TPJ and Young was a massive fail, they gave away 4 penalties.
Not playing Stef or Saifiti but playing Cam Murray at Prop for 60mins is dumb as dog shit.
Fittler is the reason we haven't won 5 series in a row. He's a moron.

Here's the difference.
When you grow up in NSW you have a strong connection to your suburb and maybe your local area. I never really thought about any connection to NSW as a whole.
Queenslanders are primarily connected to their state, local areas are secondary.
The Penrith boys are a great example. They'll play harder to represent Penrith than they ever will NSW.

Murray should be the 13. He's way better than Yeo.

Slater was ridiculed for picking Hammer and Walsh over Gagai and Ponga. Gutsy decision that I think was a massive reason why QLD won. Hammer was on fire.
Slater is a very smart coach and craps all over Fittler.
Ponga was too big of a risk. He has missed a lot of footy to head injuries.
Gagai was unlucky but Hammer is one of the comps top form players and had to be found a spot. I wasnt sold on him at centre but he killed it.

The NSW squad of 2021 were brilliant. Going into game 3 they were winning the series 76-6 and probably left a few tries out there to boot. Completely and utterly dominant.

Since game 2 of that series, there have been 5 games played and QLD have won 4 of them against pretty much that same squad and coaching team with one major exception….Mitchell has not played in the past 4 games.
They need him out there. Even if at 95%, he HAS to play game 2 and 3 if NSW are to win the series.

Latrell, Turbo, and Murray are the most important players for NSW. I reckon they win if those three are playing and in the correct positions.
