Well given Moltzen is our leading try scorer coming into tonight and most line breaks then he is fairly important

yeee.. we deserve a lot of credit for this win regardless of the teams. players knew that and their determination shows how much the team has evolved.

Although it's fair to say Moltzen and Ellis aren't in the 'Big 3' it encapsulated a very valid point that being the injuries and unavailability of players we endured tonight. People just aren't aware of this as their replacements have come in and performed their tasks more than adequately.

Both Moltz and Ellis would have been handy in their own way tonight. Moltz in attack, would have given us another option in attack, been one of our more dangerous of late. Ellis especially when we were being dominated up the middle would have helped greatly.

Not to be, but we got the points nonetheless.

Yes, I admit I am not a big fan of Moltzen, but I do believe we would've won more comfortably with him there taking advantage of the overlaps created down the left hand side in the first half - he is the only one with any speed!

we must be the slowest team in the comp. i think some of our 2nd rowers are faster than our outside backs

Yeah gotta agree Flip that we probably score two tries with his speed

But how many bombs would he have dropped and Melbourne score off ??

You make a good point there, Happy, but I must say he has improved with this a bit lately - ie v Canberra

The point is valid tho, they had players out who are obviously very good, but we had some good ones out as well.

No team is ever full strength so any win is a good win, and another 2 points in the bank

All anyone ever remembers is how many points you finish at the end of the season and then finals performance
By September how you get 2 points during the season is irrelevant.

lets not get carried away.
pragmatically, i think their "big three" is at least a hierarchy above any of the tiges' best 3\. smith and slater are among the greats, and farah is just a pivotal part of our team.
having been the proverbial wet blanket, i thought melbourne were really quite excellent tonight, and the tiges did well to win a hard game. these wins really fortify belief and strength in a team.

what has surprised me is how well they have played the last two games in hard rain. who wouldve thought the "razzle dazzle tigers" would be so good in such conditions? awesome. bodes amazingly well for a team i am again believing can go all the way.

go you tigers!!!

ps: our big three? hmm. marshall, farah… and.... and... ellis.
