Our most underated players in WT history

Given the summer time lull…

I was thinking of underated players and thought to differentiate those under rated by non tigers fans and those under rated by our own fans.

A number of club legends seem to be unappreciated by the RL community at large.
Mark O'Neil
Ben Galea
Skando
Lafrenchi only got is plaudits once he left us
Heino in the early years was very under rated, he actually got wraps when he wasn't playing as good as he was 2005-2008

I think most in the club love those blokes. But I reckon there have been players that even us fans under valued.

Paul Whatuiara was amazing the year we won the comp, he was brilliant defensively and was very capable in attack, never seems to get wraps. Success followed him, and I reckon it was more than coincidence.

Terry Hill- In the early years we signed some duds, and his name is included with them. I think he was very good for us and was the one shining light in the early years, I think his contribution is lost within the mire of the early shockers.

It is more the second group Im interested in who you guys think is underated by our fans.

Ben Galea was far from underrated by Tigers fans. We all knew he was a great player.

The void left by Tod Payten will never be filled ,a back in a forwards body, he did a lot more for the team than just play. He led from the front and showed the way and the fact his name hasnt appeared in this thread yet proves he is definately underrated by the fans
