I thought the same thing when I read the team. We need 4 forwards on the bench and this doesn't help Beau gain match fitness coming back from injury. The only thing I can think is that Ayshford's injury may have the Tigers feel that he might not play 80 minutes. So maybe Beau will see action well before the 77th minute.

Don't worry you'll probably get to see heaps of Beau on the field - wade will, no doubt, be out again :brick:

2012 Bench…
Would be nice to see it this year though.

14\. Moltzen
15\. Woods
16\. Fifita
17\. Gibbs / Payten / Murdoch Masila

Demps,

Like your bench but I am a fan of forwards and would have BMM ahead of Moltzen.

Fulton and Dwyer can cover the backs if required.

Not a fan of the mandatory back on the bench theory that our man Sheens has, but this week with both Aysford and McKinnon under some cloud I suppose its a smart move. The choice of Ryan well that the crazy thing. The guy looked under done and out of form last week so we put him on the bench this week, what he needs is 80 minutes in reggies not a ten minute stint at the back end of the game when its all over one way or the other.

a few minutes each week for Bro Ryan will see him extend his career well into the 30s and possibly brake the most games in FG.

Its all positive…

Need a Utility /Back on the bench with 3 forwards - Its the best way to cover all eventualities. We at the tigers are just blessed to have so many 80 minute players.

Yeh like the 80 minute player that was so fatigued he missed a crucial tackle then proceeded to stuff up the play the ball twice to cement a GC win. Great bench work that game was.

When has Payten been an 80 minute player EVER ????

The only reason we _have so many 80 minute players_ is because we do not have the bench to give them a rest, so they have to stay on. :crazy

Easy Tiger…

Ellis, Fults, Heigno, Farah, Dywer - All close to 80 min players (or very close too it)

It's really the other way around as Spartan says. If Sheens didn't think they were 80 minute players he'd pick a different bench. No point taking guys like Fulton or Ellis off if they can play 80 minutes or you'd have people on here whinging that player X was off the field for too long. Keeping in mind, leaving aside Farah, you basically have 5 x 80 of forward time, that means 400 minutes for 9 players if you pick a 4 forward bench.

some of those players mentioned might be a bit more effective on the field if they got a bit of a rest

Its a three man bench,Ryan is a worry whenever the play or ball comes his way.
