Remember we spoke about how Pascoe would be remembered for these moments , he needs to be remembered badly

His job needs to be majorly under question , he brought Cleary here and now the calamitous mess lays wholly and solely at his feet …....

Happy I’ve come to respect your posts but I don’t get this outburst? How is this Pascoe’s fault? He brought Cleary here in good faith - it’s cleary who is the disgrace.
Pascoe has secured, arguably, the best coach on the market. If Tyga is on the mark (usually is) Pascoe has also negotiated that Panthers pay part if Maguire’s salary for 2 years.
I think our front office has done this really well.

A few weeks ago we were talking about Pascoe earning his living on what happens in these very times and he has screwed the pooch imo

He got us the 5th best coach in my opinion , Toovey would have been better choice , we will rue the Madge decision

We will need a 9 year plan to sort this out

Utterly amazed …..more proof that our past is destroying our future

Michael bloody Maguire

I would of taken Hasler before him , taken Toovey before him , Seibold before him ,Bennett before him , even kept Cleary for 2 seasons until we found someone better

Fair enough. I’m not sure why you are against him but that’s cool.
I think he’ll be good as he seems to be a good forwards coach. Time will tell!
 
I don't understand the comparison to Brian Smith. Brian smith coached for 20+ years and never won a comp. Maguire won a comp in his third season.

If any one is the modern day Brian Smith, it's Ivan Cleary. Expert at a rebuild, but hasn't been more than a bridesmaid

Agree Hap - I would have preferred Neil Henry.

The Madge premiership was basically given to him with that roster - it'll be different at Tigers.

Is the club in a better state now than in the not so distant past I say yes !bigger sponsorship, larger membership base , starting the softening of gaining one home ground by moving into a new state of the art stadium , making large inroads in building a COE , a stable backer in the West’s group , a stable management team now signing a young premiership winning coach .
No one can be blamed for the treacherous behaviour of the present coach but as I have outlined above some people just are never satisfied!

Settling for sub standard must be fun Ink

The only difference between Taylor and Maguire is no one has hit Maguire that we know of and Maguire got a team full of superstars and played a team in a GF that basically bar James Graham was woeful on the day and won a GF

Virtually everyone he recruited left and many of their juniors bailed , gee that sounds familiar

Like I said to Momo in the other thread , you want to live mediocrity that's fine , do it , just don't do it on my watch OK

The more fans that start getting on this club case , make it accountable ,threaten not to rejoin as members until they see real results the better

If this club was a backline , the ball wouldn't get past the 6 , it would be the like the bad Benji , throw a pass into the coaches ,box , crab across field , drop it off to unsuspecting ball runner , kick on the 2nd and no one knows ,kick it out on the full , dribble a pass along the ground 3 metres forward ….they are great comedy act ......but it's not funny any more :imp:

Your roster appears ok to me, if Reynolds is fully fit for the start of the season that will help with your attack which was lacking this season.
Give Maguire a go, he is an experienced premiership winning coach.
I think WT will be around the 8 again.

We hired Cleary , didn't ask the right questions in the interview and now we are back to square 1 Rd 3 2017 all over again

This stuff doesn't happen at many other clubs ......or does it .......yes it happens at some clubs ....and we take the piss out of these exact clubs

All I see is so many of Pascoe's and Go comments coming back to haunt us

Or is no one at fault ????

Maguire will have my full support as every other coach has got it , I sure as hell didn't agree with all that Taylor did same as for Potter (through no fault of his own )

But he has to see out his term , and I bet once it goes pear shaped , the powers that be will see the sun shine from another's coaches behind and believe every bit they say and it will be bye bye Madge

Your opinion isnt the be all and end all.
Theres no guarantees in sport.
Theres plenty of time later in next season for the annual frustration, nows the time to relax and enjoy the weather

Never said it was , and have never said it is and will admit when I'm wrong which happens from time to time

Have enough class to do that (not suggesting that you don't )
