Our players in rep teams this weekend.

I don't have Fox. Anyone got a quick review of how Simona, Lodge, Naiqama etc. played this weekend? All I've heard is Simona is a terrible goal-kicker.

Well Simona injured his ankle and came off ' hopefully it is just a sprain

Injury looked similar to Teddy ankle injury v Manly

Sue played well and seemed to play good minutes , Luani and Simona tried hard but were obviously playing out of position and looked uncomfortable at times

Kevin Naiqama played very well for Fiji , had a try assist and was involved in many dangerous plays

In Junior Kanagaroos v Kiwis Te maire Martin was a standout and didn't deserve to be on the losing team , Heleta scored a try and made some long breaks Lamar Liolevave disapoointed very quiet most the time

Lodge was strong for Australia and every time a blue looked like it was brewing he was in their with his eyes rolling back in his head

Te Maire was my standout closely followed by Naiqama and Sue

Simona is a good goal kicker he was rusty and nervous though. He didn't have any easy ones and missed them close.

Simona played well at halfback tbh. Has really good passes. Got the ball to BJ in space a couple of times. Also took the line on well. He actually looked the part. Got hurt at the end.

Sue was tough. Took some solid carries and looked dangerous.

Luani was good for Tonga. Crisp service from dummy half.

Naqaima was safe as houses at fullback for Fiji and chimed in to attack well. Knows how to play fullback.

Te Maire starred for Junior Kiwis. Was almost best on ground.

Liolevave did some good things and made a few mistakes.

Lodge was best forward on ground.

Lodge and Sue were enormous, loved it.

Martin is just a class who is going to be a very decent player.

They all went okay and thought Lodge would be more dominant at this level, but was most disappointed in Heleta when he made made a long break after his intercept. Not that he was run down quite easily by his oppositions halves, but that he could not fend as he was carrying the ball in the wrong arm. How a centre can get to this level without being taught/knowing which arm to carry the ball in is beyond me.

heleta looked like a s/rower going up and down in the one spot, and yes if he had changed hands he could have pust the 1/2 back off. u can rule him out for 1st grade no pace.
lamar , i had really high hopes for him but he looks uninterested and seems to go through the motions, can be brillant but most of the time he is poor. think he is our next BMM, all the talent but lack of effort.

That's been my impression from limited viewing.

teddy and siro were solid for city. both come away unscathed which is the main thing.

I missed country/city as I was watching the fight, but the stats make it look like Scissors did a good job in defence?

yeah he was strong in defence. made some crucial cover tackles aswell and carried the ball well.

Sironen worked really hard but also made some really stinging tackles in defence. When he ran the ball he ran hard and made good meters post contact. He was the decoy runner a lot as Josh Reynolds went himself or through an average pass out the back. Plus as with all backrowers in C v C you don't play as many minutes so everyone gets a go. Also through a wonderful pass that lead to a City try

Tedesco was impressive a couple of line breaks, a try and was strong defensively. Also and most importantly he wasn't Moylan which made him look great because Moylan is crap.

Felt sorry for Sirro with very little ball coming his way but I thought he defended really well. Tedesco showed today he is a more dangerous player than Moylan IMO, playing out of position too. Hats off to Austin who was City's best player today.

Taupau reminds me why we have had to clear some space in our salary cap too. He came to us a reserve grader and now he is one the top forwards in the game. In fact I think we have had the best forward for both sides being Tigers forwards in the test today.

The money we will need to keep Taupau will be huge

More people are starting to realise Moylan is a myth. Seriously he cannot lace Tedesco's bootlaces and the only reason he's considered ahead is that Tedesco has been injured for the past couple of years.

Keep the pretender away from Origin please.

If you watched moylan last weekend i wouldn't call him a myth. I think he isn't in front of teddy but both are different players teddy is power and speed moylan is a finesse and ball playing full back. Both will play rep footy in the future

That's the thing, I don't think Moylan's ball playing makes up for the fact he lacks at every other facet. You can't be a poor ball runner or tackler these days at fullback, let alone both.

OT, but nice avatar BTW  Hopefully they win tomorrow and dismantle Memphis.
