Our senior players

Are brain dead and this is why I could not care less if they are moved on.

Let's take a look at last night for example:

- Heighington: Gives away a crucial penalty against Ennis when we had possession. IMO this changed the swing of the entire game and gave them four or five sets on our line that they eventually score off.

- Farah: Continues his poor, greedy kicking game. Dumb grubbers to nobody when we are on the attack, kicks straight down Barba's throat all night.

- Fulton: Gets dragged over the sideline on the second or third tackle. How can you possible do this when you are a senior forward?

- McKinnon: Looked like Paul Carige out there. Gave them two tries from schoolboy errors, mistakes I would expect from a rookie, not from one of the most experienced players on the field.

- Gibbs: Not a mistake but continually looks like a deer in headlights in attack. Makes no meters and gets dominated on every hit up. I love his defensive efforts but you may as well not even give him the ball when we are on the attack.

The only consistent, senior players we have that don't make ridiculous, dumb schoolboy errors time and time again are Ellis and Galloway. They are always consistent and can be relied upon to have a go and do their jobs.

The rest are unreliable and Inconsistent and this is why I could not give a STUFF if they are moved on. There is a reason we have not made the semi finals consistently and this is a big part of it. Week after week it's our senior players letting us down, not our rookies.

They all look frustrated and angry.

Usually teams channel this aggression into their game and it makes them play better.

We just look like a babbling wreck

Good call mate..cant disagree with anything above

It was pretty mind numbing stuff watching us run around without Benji. We just looked clueless and without threat all over the field. The forwards are all workers, the backs are too slow and the halves and hooker were all over the shop.

I think it just exposes that the squad is a mediocre one when you take out a few strike players. I actually think we have done ok to be in and around the 8 with the bad injury toll. Ellis, Marshall, Lawrence and Tuqiri our left side was 75% of our tries last year, and we have only been able to field this combination a couple of times this season.

Yes if you compare us to other sides when they lose a few players they still manage to fire and if say Storm,Saints or Manly lose a few players they still something week in week out . Last night after 5 minutes when we were already losing the ruck and yardage battle you could tell it was possibly going to get ugly . No excuses after round 18 with almost everyone back . See Sheens had a shot a refs last night There is a saying "if you can't beat them join em " We should of been doing the same We were the home team no noise means no issues with most refs

ALLAN TOWLE UR SPOT ON, THERE IS MASSIVE TROUBLE IN TIGER TOWN, SHEENS NEEDS TO GRAB THE BIT AND JUMP ON IT NOW OR OUR SEASON IS OVER.

The side needs to get over it and start putting in. Unfortunately players have to get moved on from time to time and considering this, we have been pretty lucky to keep the majority of our squad together. It is obvious that the players are in such a comfort zone with each other and with their positions in the team from the performances on the park this season. Most of our injuries have been in the back line so there is no excuses for our forwards, bar Galloway and Ellis, for not moving up off the line, not putting pressure on the kicker and not having a go in attack.

After an hours drive, $30 entry fee and $15 spent on food it makes me wonder why I spend the money and effort of getting to a game when the players who are on 100, 200, 300 and 400+ thousand $$ couldn't give a stuff about their on field performances or the average battler spending a good chunk of their weekly wage bringing the family out to watch that dogs breakfast they served up. The coach needs to take responsibility for the teams actions but most of all the players need to get over themselves, stop the sulking, be men and do what they are paid to do because at the moment they are disrespecting the Tigers jersey. If you want to try and dictate terms to the club then so be it, move on to another team, but don't disrespect the paying, loyal fans or the guys who actually had a go in a Wests Tigers jersey anymore. I'm sure Buckets, Skando, Senter et al would be shaking their heads at what they are seeing from this rabble called a football team.

I agree with most except the point about Heighno. that scumbag ennis should have been penalised for not letting him get up and play the ball by wrapping his legs around his even when Heighno was standing.

I dont know why the refs let him get away with this crap. He acts like the victim and they all fall for it.

Heighno shoved him to free himself and was penalised. Rubbish decision.

You,re exactly right. The fact it even got to that point that Heighno pushed him showed me the referees were not controlling the ruck. We were trying to get a roll on, and unfortunately the THIS year the refs have decided more wrestle in the ruck, SLOWER play the balls. Same thing happened in 2006 and it killed us. This year it's killing us and taking Farah out of the game, and doubled up with what has been a tremendous injury toll, and rumours and innuendo i'm thinking start looking towards 2012.

p.s How cold was it out there last night!

I think I'm in the same boat as Stryker here. The threads a pretty good sum up of the current situation as far as our senior players go. I just think the Rhino penalty was a weak, pathetic attempt at enforcing the current crackdown on penalising the attacking team in the play the ball area.

One thing I did notice was the difference in the amount of space the opposing hookers seemed to have around the ruck area which to me all seemed to be about line speed, or in the tigers case….lack of it.

And yes Furious1 it was bloody freezing, but then again there wasn't a lot to get up a cheer about I guess

seriously when has Gibbs pushed the line back, hardly ever. He has been a solid defender and is probably playing some of his best football now that he seems to have broken the "give a couple of penalties a game" attitude of previous years, and now he is getting bagged for it. I don't think we are losing games because of our forwards.

Our attack lacks creativity and speed and has been carried by Benji this year. The return of Lawrence and Tuquri will help, not sure if it will all come together in time for the finals, but if we make the eight we will lift and I bet there will be a few nervous teams hoping they don't get to play us.

Have to agree with palms re the effort and expense of going to watch a game. I've been a passionate tiger for over 40 years but will think twice before going to another game unless this team lifts its act. Losing 2 home games in 2 weeks is not acceptable.

Agree with OP except Gibbs and Heighno.

Heighington is partly to blame and does deserve to be on that list, but not for that reason.
As for Gibbs, I dont think he gets dominated every single time. Yes, he does get dominated sometimes, but that's coz he receives the ball flat footed a lot of times and that's the playmaker's fault.
His defence is not replaceable and is an integral part of the team. IMO, a better position for Gibbs would be 2nd row if Dwyer is out for long.
We also need props to get some experience for next year due to the two departures.

Sure. Play like crap and get a trip away to "bond"…... Joke. This season is becoming a big yawn.
Half our team seem to be leaving at the end of the year anyway, so why bother.
The only reason I'll go to Leichhardt again this season is to visit Adriano Zumbos..mmmmmmm!
Footy - who cares?
Robbie - I am a massive fan of yours, but if you don't start playing for the team, go somewhere else 😢

so bigdamo who taught gallen how to play like that….is it one of the 3 or 4 coaches hes had since he started playing with sharks .It comes from within that cant be coached.....its attitude that none of our players have.
