i dont understand why the winner gets all the $ one hundred million. Why cant one hundred million people get 1 Million each. Wouldnt we have more chance that way and a lot more people could be happier. I dont get it. The system needs a revamp asap.

yes call it lottos lottery , $ 100 million up for grabs just like the $ 2 lottery , but each ticket a machine generates is worth $ 500 thousand each , would make more sence and more people would have some cash to burn or pay off a debt

Because the $100m is only for the division one prize.
If one person gets it they get the $100m to themselves
If 2 people get it they get $50m each and so on.
If nobody gets it it jackpots.
If they didnt do this the prize wouldnt be anywhere near as high
