Phil Gould says in his podcast today that there's an unwritten expectation that you hang around after a game.
He also says this almost certainly came out in a leak - which for mine is a worrying sign that something's rotten at our club.
To me its a sign that what is rotten at our club is Packer & Reynolds.
This was just a symptom of the poor culture at the club.
That is your opinion Cochise. Lets flesh it out. Please point to anything that provides evidence that the rest of the players havent bought into Madges culture and that Packer and Reynolds are not the outliers?
Read todays coaching insider for this weeks game and what Madge has to say....pretty well answers your questions...
Actually TT, the Coaching Insider provides evidence ONLY of a great culture within the playing group. What is your point? Are you agreeing with my or trying to prove my point correct?
you said JR and Packer are rotten at the club,,,it may be your personal opinion, however Madge tends to support them and their ethics wholeheartedly with the playing group
I think that Reynolds and Packer have rotten attitudes which is a reflection on their status in the club and this is borne out by their actions, but the post you responded to was me asking for evidence from Cochise to his assertion that there was a widespread endemic bad culture in the club (his point was in response to something regading PAcker & Reynolds so I made the point that the only evidence in what he was referencing was Packer & Reynolds.
The Coaching Insider that you reference proves my point that there is no evidence to a widespread culture problem within the playing group other than Packer & Reynolds.
But Packer and Reynolds arent a problem,Madge has specifically stated that in the article that they are in the playing group and contributing at training and in support of all the group..
Madge specifically stated today about Packer & Reynolds.. *"They’re committed to what we’re about ***and whilst they’re signed and in my playing group,*** we’re going to do everything possible together to make sure we get the results we’re after … When the time’s right they’ll get selected.”*
Can you come up with a suggestion why he may have included that qualifier?
No idea mate ...Im not in the playing group or in the know with Madge...he would have his reasons for backing them though and keeping his squad on the same page...
THat is quite obvious. He has backed them and as you say kept them all on the same page, which of course implies that Reynolds and Packer were not on the same page.
I think its pretty obvious why Madge said "whilst they’re signed and in my playing group.” He wants them gone.
That obviously is his final call...
If he was happy with PAcker and Reynolds and thought that they were truly on the same page as everyone else, and was happy with them, he would not have put that qualifier in. They are toast and it will be a good day for the club when they are both gone.
