Panthers offer Sheens $2m deal

I hope he stays as much as anyone , but our season is hanging by a few threads at the moment and this whole issue is not helping anyone especially a lot of our younger players . If this was to drag out for a month our season could be over . Just looking at the now ….
 
I hope he stays. I think what he does offers on the field and off the field is worth it.

IF he does go, I hope Folkes gets the job.. and to me he is the ONLY one i would give it to..

The Club is in good hands either way… great playing roster, Great Coach, Great possible coach, Great CEO, Best sponsorship base in the whole NRL.. Financially in great position..
We dont have any outside problems with Players who are boofheads. well not MAJOR ones haha

Folkes would be a logical appointment to me, and one that would cause the least disruptions.

He knows the club inside out having worked with us for two seasons now. He would know all the juniors we have coming through. His teams were always renowned for strong defense and a fearsome forward pack.

It will be interesting to know what Bug will do if Sheens does leave. All he contributes around here is bashing Sheens, to talk about anything else Wests Tigers or Rugby League in general, is a rare occurrence.

Some bloke rang up the Grill team this morning and said Sheens going to the Panthers is a done deal.

It is all very interesting - because I know a few guys resigned with the Tigers in recent times based on Sheens being around.

It sounds logical for Sheens to back to where he played his career - to end his career. Ive always been a huge fan of his, but what ive seen with Motlz at Fullback the last few weeks is led me to beleive id rather a coach that just simply puts players in the right positions.

Would like to see Royce come back but i cant see it happening.

Unfortunately it seems theres bugger all loyalty left in the NRL.

Yeah i hope he stays to mate.

We are in very good hands and the players not been boofheads i put down to sheens not the players themselves i can see this club going backwards with off field dramas.

People say folkes but does he want to coach anyone yet.

Folkes is the most likely to replace Tim but does that mean a return to old school structured bash and barge style Rugby League. We don't want to go backwards and most fans like the style of play we currently have.

Would hate to see Folkes come in and stymie all the good work thats gone in.

having spoken to a few board members about this very issue over the last 12 months, they have all said that Gentel would be the most likely successor
 
Sorry if this has already been answered, but where does this leave players like Benji? Does he have a "get out clause" if Sheens leaves?

That's the word on the street mate, Gentle is the bloke being groomed to take over should Sheens leave. Folkes is capable but I think Gentle is the better option.

This has been discussed in the last 24 hours, Benji does not have a get out clause anymore.
