Today's tele states Parish will be appointed Tigers coach as he has support of the board. Well if this is the case the whole organisation is a JOKE . It seems to me Balmain are now running the Weststigers ! There are much better candidates available , Alan Jones wants Parish as do the old Balmain boys. Well go right ahead the mother of all backlashes is just around the corner .

Parish won't be coach. The media just continually push his barrow. From all reports Parish is a loony who shouldn't be let anywhere near a first grade side.

It has nothing to do with Balmain. We all know of the clubs financial woes, if Parish is elected it is merely for financial reasons. And those woes will continue to swell when we miss the 8 again. Parish would be a poor choice when you consider the Brown or Potter options

I havent believed anything that is in the telegraph since murdoch bought it years ago. From front page to back page it is a litany of lies and agenda and has zero credibility

Im only 15 so i dont know if i even deserve to have a say but from what people have said he is the worst person for the job, we have money to spend on a coach so why not use it for someone good and he will make a difference to our club and that will take controll.
From what i can see the wests tigers board need to take a good look at themselfes and think of the future that our club could have.

I have no problem thinking that someone on this forum would be able to tun this lub 10x better.

Everyone deserves to have a say, shell, and you're right he is probably not the best choice out of all the candidates. However, I don't think we have the money to spend, especially with Sheens still hanging around and herein lies the problem - we have to buy the cheapest. Parish being a rookie would not be able to command big dollars. I don't know the bloke personally, but by all accounts, he is a lunatic lol. Still, I think Bellamy is a lunatic as well, so who knows, he may turn out to be a good coach.

How come the Telegraph knows who the coach is going to be whilst the loyal West Tigers fans are continually kept in the dark. Don't you think we (Fans from this Forum) should elect a representation to approach West Tigers management in the next day or two at the latest and make it very clear to them our dissaproval and concerns? It just seems that they don't give a tinker what the loyal fans think yet they keep bashing the same loyal fans to take up expensive membership packages. They must think that the fans are stupid and only there to prop up the coffers with entrance money to the game. By the way well paid Tiger 1st grade players thanks for your efforts in getting rid of your coach and putting us in the situation we are now in.

We don't have coin to go after Big name coach so we are going for un-tried FG coach who is looking at breaking onto the seen who will take on gig for minimal coin

Can I again put the lunatic ,madman comments to bed

From the Gladstone players who played under him at the Central Qld Comets that I have spoken to had nothing but praise for Parish

They were the bye of the Qld Cup until he took over and they made the semi's for the first time without any big name players and were unlucky not to make the GF

Again I think their are better options out their with the assistant coaches we are possibly interviewing but he won't be the worst option

Given the way the DT 'reported' the sacking/leaving/quitting/moving of Sheens, they are clearly hedging their bets in the hope they can re-run their own articles weeks later on how 'they reported it first'….maybe I can call the Tele and tell them I'm going to coach and do it for free... 😱pen_mouth:

The Telgraph have their own agenda which is similar to "A Current Affair" which is to publish outrageous stories without checking the truth and in the hope of selling more papers.

Whatever decision is made we have to live with and it is about re-building a culture which does not accept failure so easily and readily make excuses as we have for the last few seasons.

It is a difficult job for whoever comes in so they need to be supported, not hacked away at before day one even starts or before they are even hired

Once a coach is hired he is hired - there is no turning back even if can't hack (i.e. coach Kearney who admitted as such).

Where is the article online?

I will be interested to see the Herald's opinion. Not sure if anyone has noticed, but the Herald and the Telegraph have quite different agendas when it comes to Wests Tigers.

When was this endorsement made by the Board of Wests Tigers? Was it overnight? Just asking because 3 of the 10 Wests Tigers directors were at Ashfield last night discussing other matters.
