Parra should not be favourite's for the Premiership the only reason they are is because the ball bounced Hayne's way last year this wont happen this year! Parra to finish from 6-10 this year. Most overrated player and team!

What exactly are you basing this in-depth opinion on?

The bloke is an amazing player and has been awesome at club and state level for a few years now. You make your own luck in this game and with the talent surrounding him in that backline, Parra will be there in September.

It makes me laugh how people criticise the way they have played the game recently as it appears to be very similar to how we play - except (and lets be real here), they have done it better up until now.

I think I'll reserve judgement on this one. We still have to beat them - don't forget, and I can't remember when that last was.

Either way I don't think properossi would be complaining too much if Hayne signed on with the Tigers.

1\. Hayne
2\. Tuiaki
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Tuqiri

Points festttttt

I think its pretty foolish to make an assessment on the entirety of a players season based on how they performed in round 1.

Yeah too early to judge them yet. They were really poor at the start of last season and then got on that roll over the last ten or so rounds.

I still think the ball can not bounce your way for too long! Hayne and Parra had the ball bounce their way a few times over the tale end of last season and it just won't come that easy for them this year! They started as FALSE favourites for the comp, but I do hope their form does pick up because there would be nothing better than watching the Tigers SMASH Parra in the 2010 Grand Final!

And you say I don't watch games.

Parramatta's good form came off the back of second phase play. Their game plan was/is OFFLOAD OFFLOAD OFFLOAD.

We play nothing like that, in fact, we probably offload the least out of any side in the comp. It's obvious and we proved it last week. You shut the offload down, and Parra have nothing.

Besides, all the 'brilliance' Jarryd Hayne pulls off is when the sides in front and the games all but over anyway. Granted he's scored some tries from some great slicing runs, but so has Fitzy, and I don't see anyone calling him superstar.

I've even heard some hail Hayne in the same class as Marshall!!
There's a massive difference here. Mainly being Hayne is a cat on the field and lacks intestinal fortitude. Marshall is tough as nails.
And to think people want Hayne in a Blues jersey up against the likes of Hodges, Inglis and Folau.

I've heard even more hail him a class above Benj.

Amazing isn't it? Marshall has been a superstar since 2005\. Time and time again he has proven what a gun player he is, and yet still doesn't get the respect he deserves.

Hayne comes in, does a few chip kicks and now he's the best player in the world.

JOKE!

I have the utmost respect in regards to Andrew Johns as a player, but last year when Hayne was having his lucky streak there was the write-up in the Telecrap from Joey saying Hayne could be the best player EVER!! Sorry Joey, but you jumped on the hype of the Hayne Train which has time and time again been derailed and proven to be a media farce.
I'm glad Parramatta threw the chequebook at him for ridiculous unworthy amounts for a longterm contract. It means he will not be coming anywhere near WT for a while!!

Hayne can play. Lets not kid ourselves.

But, he is not in the same league as Benji. Benji kills him.

If Phil Blake was in the game these days he would put Hayne to shame with his kick chip and chases.

Hayne is dangerous and I cant wait to watch him, the Morris twin and hopefully Chris lawrence in the same NSW backline . . . . . . minus Jamie Lyon.

Hayne is an absolute freak, he is a gamebreaker but he is not a playmaker.

Parra got away with last year because nobody really ground on Robson until Melbourne in the GF. Mortimer is young and a pure confidence player and Keating is nippy but otherwise rubbish.

Parra have structured their cap distribution around two ageing forwards, one forward in Poore who was made look very good by the Dragons pack and a fullback. Complete disaster waiting to happen when you have lazy players like Mateo doing Sweet FA
