Pascoe and madge pull an ivan

I found that to be a very interesting watch! Those who have called it unprofessional are of the mark in my opinion. I have seen some NFL teams do their own weekly shows of a similar quality.

Watched it here in fiji, the live stream was ok here....when I saw pascoe I thought it was pat rafter, he,ll be doing underwear adds next....but I thought it was good, at least finally something from the club on Matterson

Haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, I’m busy as at the moment. Can someone please tell me exactly what they did say about the Matterson situation? Can’t find any comments on here about it apart from the fact they did discuss it - love to know what was said.

He's been given permission to negotiate, but will only get a release if there's a favorable outcome for our club.

Basically the same as our quasi press release via the SMH posted here last week and from Gunners above, with his manager approaching Pascoe some 4 to 6 weeks ago asking for permission to look around.

There’s nothing wrong with criticism. I raised my eyebrows quite a few times mainly because the guys making this broadcast are supposed to be qualified IT/media employees of the club. Maybe we got the ninth best there, too.

I'll say it again, does anyone know for sure if any NRL club at all is doing live Q&As?

Criticism is fine, but the overboard nonsense about lack of professionalism. Avo on toast even says if you can't be perfect, don't bother. Hogwash. For all we know they might be paying these media boys $65K per year. I don't suppose Tigers are investing millions in top-end audiovisual gear, data streaming services, tech specialists etc.

Have a think about every single media and internet event you've ever been a part of and how many of those have issues. I've barely had a webex in my life where someone wasn't cutting out or dropping off the line.

I’ve been involved in many internet events and they were all better than this arvo. I’m glad you think it was up to scratch. Low bar.

Go on, say it again, again. Lol.

It's funny you say that, seeing as it didn't cost you a cent and contained no ads. So for the dollar you didn't pay, you got infinite value.

And you reckon putting on a fancy show makes one iota of difference to how they play football on the field.

I reckon I have my priorities straight. Doesn't matter to me if sound drops or internet wobbles, what matters is the quality of football that gets played during the season.

If they put on a perfect song and dance today, you'd just get folks saying "fluff fluff, why are they WASTING TIME AND MONEY on these bollocks Q&As, didn't even announce new information or key signings, should be concentrating on XYZ"

Now look Mr Pascoe I’m allowed to say things as I see them. If you are OK with that second rate show yesterday fine, I just want better.

Oh, btw the Wests Tigers put posts on twitter yesterday apologising for the poor quality of the output. At least they get it.

You miss my point.
Surely the 8 teams that used a ‘Home game’ to play in magic round will be away teams for this year.

No, I don't think that is the case. I think I have already seen it confirmed somewhere that we will again be the home team.

How on earth can we get jibbed again like that!
Where is the equality?

@Needaname it would be interesting to know what money we receive for it. It would have to be decent for the club's to do it.

Considering we have basically had nine months of silence, I was very happy to get what we got. The presentation may have lacked a bit with the audio failure but they made a effort to connect and that is what we need.

Two things that caught my attention
1..our cap is not as bad as people are telling us

2..expect a lot of player movement right across the NRL over the next few months.

For me I would be depressed if we are basically rolling the same players in 2020 without a couple of quality additions and I get the feeling that we might be able to bolster our roster after listening to the podcast...of course I might be right off track also

The Podcast would be a huge fail if it didn't fill its watchers with optimism... I think we will see basically the same team in 2020, with the exception of either/both Matterson and Matulino..+ their replacement/s

Greenberg dosent believe in "equality" in his mind "fairness" is the go.I would not be suprised if its a broncos "away" game again up there more than likely against us.
The broncos will need a lot more leg ups next year and i have no doubts they will get them

It was financially beneficial for the home teams.

It’s a bit of a concern they will be using park footy facilities for a couple a years

We've been using park footy facilities for the past 15 years!

Boys won't know what to do with themselves when they walk into the $60M facility, that's $59.9M more than they are used to.

I know our facilities are substandard.... I'd love to have more detail on our training set up because imo unless it's changed drastically or they intend to move things over.... Well be on an oval with a toilet/change room block

I loved two comments from Madge:
1. He said it’s not the buildings that make the difference but the people inside them. Whilst he agreed our COE is a great thing, his point was employing the right people is where it’s at.
2. Build a team with juniors that are invested in the community, club and jersey - my words but his sentiment. Great attitude about building club culture.
Madge gets it. We need him here for 10 years plus

That type of rhetoric sounds good.....but rhetoric is all it is.

1. Elite players are not coming to a team lightbyears behind in terms of facilities and support staff.

2. We had a team of juniors and they all, except Brooks, could not wait to leave. Tedesco even left twice...

Reality= we need a world class base and top level facilities.
