Paying overs is unfortunately a reality for us, and any other club consistently missing the top 8.
I don't blame the CEO, they have to give coaches the power to pick their squad otherwise you end up with the committee like the dragons. How's that working?

And to sign most players, we have to pay overs and hope they pan out.

Can you imagine JAC weighing up options like these:
Storm 450k
Roosters 400k
South's 450k
Tigers 450k

We would be no chance, simple as that. Until we play regular finals footy, we would have to offer 550k minimum. Players and managers know this.

I will say Madge and pascoe recent pick ups have had a high success rate
Douei (solid and improving)
Luciano (not sure what he is on but I'd imagine he is a bargain)
Bj (we finally have a strike player. How many times have we been on the receiving end of his try in the weekend)
Blore (looks the goods)

The blame lays with Ivan unfortunately. He got the squad he wanted and then bailed, leaving the mess behind. CEO has to trust the coaches squad decision, otherwise, why have a coach?

We can easily sign JAC. He has stated his favorite club is the Tigers. He says he wants to leave Melbourne.

Give him a good wingers salary but not every club will be after JAC and we are one of the clubs he wants to go to.

Madge can and should take blame for Joey and Dohehi but Pascoe has not had to answer for the recruitment decision he has been a part of as the CEO.

Maybe it's time a new CEO is looked at ?

Take blame for Doueihi? What's he done wrong? Been one of our most consistent this year.

Is he playing at a level a 650k player should be performing at ? No

I’m sticking my neck out here and declaring that within another season I think Doueihi will prove you wrong.

Heard on news this arvo only 2 clubs left...WTs and Dogs.Also.JAC wants to be a fullback(on fullbacks $$) of course
That means the "winning " club will pay $700k+r thereabouts for a career winger who has shown no potential whatsover to be a fullback, and will quickly return to the wing position once found out.
And a very expensive winger at that!
Hope were not the "winner"

For what he would bring to the club he would be worth every cent. Sign him now.

Board and CEO don't have much to do with Football and have no knowledge. Who's the Head of Footbal guy that we recruited from Panthers as well.. it's his job to be the bridge between coach and CEO and I feel that's where we have lacked.

I honestly think that in order to change the culture of this club, we need some sort of psychologist, mind coach, coach's coach etc type of person.

it's not about what we believe, it's about whether the players believe in themselves

I love having a fullback that can catch most everything. It's obvious he has a niggle when you compare his speed this year and last, but he still manages 200m a game.

Kelly Egan has left, just to confirm, he was replaced by Adam Hartigan from the Roosters. as General Manager of Football.

If I was CEO, I employ the best coach I can and team him up with the best football manager I can and trust their judgement. Okay it might not work out, but they are the experts in the field of football. My job is gelling the best out of all my departments and improving the bottom line.
Anyway I think the above describes Pascoe and he is doing a good job. He like the rest of us had a lot of faith in Ivan, and certainly did not think he would stuff our cap and bolt. Sadly rebuilding takes time and luck...just ask Parra

Exactly ..not hire your mate from another club as a coach

That has been his biggest error and we will still be paying the price in 2023

It's a stupid argument IMO. Panthers hired Cleary just the same as Tigers did, in fact they head-hunted him whilst under contract, and so far that's actually working out very well for them.

So either Cleary is a good coach or he really did just inherit a good roster / system set up by other people, but either way his team is running first and team-record series of wins.

So how you can criticise a bloke who signed the coach who currently is heading towards the minor premiership, I don't know. Nobody was to know he'd back-track to Penrith - nobody believed it would be possible after the way Penrith dumped him the first time.

And even still, when Cleary bolted, Tigers managed to secure Madge who was arguably the best-credentialed free agent coach going around.

Let me summarise: signed the coach who is currently on top of the comp, replaced him with a premiership-winning coach.

But even still, criticise the CEO because the buck stops with him for everything, apparently. Funny that, I don't see many CEOs get hooked at other clubs when they don't make the finals. How's St George's CEO going right now, Titans CEO, Warriors CEO? Manly CEO?

Stick to Facebook buddy

haha. This same topic on Facebook would have entirely the opposite reaction compared to here. Someone there could post a huge list of verifiable facts and still there would be mass outrage. I think it has to do with the way people only see something on their feed once or twice. Whatever their opinion was when it disappeared will stick with them.

Maybe he wants to go to us. Personally I think he'd rather hang out with his mate at Souths. And the sceptic in me think Souths will find a way to fit him in on the dodgy like they did Latrell.

Wake up lads, yes Justin made some mistakes, he trusted a friend and took his advise. Ivan the terrible kills relationships and clubs too. Justin was nieve about the Farah thing and he/has we have paid for it. Justin has let the coaches get the players they want, it's not he's area of expertise, so he can concentrate on the other arms of the West Tigers.
Since then our back of office is the envy of most clubs, he's galvanised resources making the club profitable, getting a centre of excellence built, harnessing such a wide and diverse fan base and bringing proper governance, policy and structure to our club.
The only thing he has done wrong recently is the haircut and maybe the beard.
