Thats a very reasonable conclusion to jump to as it does make sense , but regardless if its true there will be other clubs caught in the cross fire on this one.

I hope it ends up in court and plenty of mud is dug up and the NRL are exposed, but I get the feeling some private back down will be negotiated so the NRL doesn’t lose face.

As for the star player and a possible off field drama, can only be one player as we only have one so called star

That is fantastic news. Personally id like to see it escalate to legal action just so that the NRL learns its place in the world.

Hope the club does a number on the NRL. I don't even care anymore of we are guilty. Greenberg has proven after giving a reference for a bloke done DUI and speeding with previous court attendances for far more serious issues is not fit to be a fair adjudicator in matters such as these. Inglis drink drives and speeds: gets a reference from the CEO of the NRL. MCK will probably get rubbed out of the game (and if he was the instigator and found to have done wrong absolutely he should be.)

This is a classic Political power play and the NRL leadership will do whatever it takes to save face regardless of justice based on argument and facts.

Take this thing to court and he tigers will 100% win based on precedence and the fact that nothing was in writing or hidden from general public knowledge.

I would even be willing to donate some $$ to the fighting fund
