Pat Richard Returns

Thompson has played one game for us, and he was really good?

Murdoch-Masila is starting to come good too. His last game would have been a career best for us if not for the ending dropsies after copping a head knock. BMM would have suffered in development under Sheens I imagine. Never getting the same amount of game time. In and out all the time. Short stints. I've got faith.

But I have put this question to you before Mac in relation to Rowdy as well (and this isn't meant to sound like i'm having a shot ) but when do we say that its not working out and we need to move on

BMM is in the same boat , but for different reasons Eventually we need to make a call if they aren't cutting it

I don't think fans have been unreasonable in their expectations and the time frame we have given them ,especially Lawrence

I'd quite happily replace Rowdy with Richards if things haven't improved by seasons end If he isn't better by now unfortunately barring almost a miracle it won't improve His only chance as I have said before is dropping a couple of kilos and completely rework his running style /action Golfers completely rebuild their swings , he needs to do the same

I follow the SPL abit and like Hodgo has been going great guns , i for one am excited about his return .
Potter ain't stupid his been in that League for years so i trust his judgement.

I just don't think either of them have been overtly bad tbh. Lawrence has still been passable and I don't see any of our juniors doing a better job. BMM has been more effective this year than ever. He is on the improve. I reckon Lawrence is going to have a blinder tonight.

Eh it's not for me or you to say I guess. I just try to be positive.

I'm not being negative either Mac , but one of this clubs major issues is we accept if someones not bad well thas ok

And thats not OK . Do many highly successful clubs accept this ?? NO Why ?? because the only things acceptable to fans ,sponsors ,management ,coaches etc is results

If another club was in the same boat ,they would give Lawrence time in reggies to try and improve , do everything in their powers for him to have the time to recuperate ,but in the meantime bring another player through and see if he has the goods

We will never know whether Simona ,Fine,Mr T are going to cut it if we never give them the chance

And then the next point is , once we have seen how Simona ,Fine or Mr T cope with top grade we can make a call on whether we need to keep them for the future or move them on as well

Simona had time in first grade and was pretty average other than ten minutes at fullback last year. Naiyaravaro was hopeless in a trial let alone real NRL. Fine was an average NYC player so what makes you think he'll make first grade? Brien MAYBE NRL standard but even then I just don't see him offering anything like what Lawrence offers even now.

In the words of Gus Gould, NO,NO,NO,NO,NO,now I loved pat Richards when he was here …..... that ws 10 years ago this club is run by morons the recruietment leaves a lot to be desired

So we try them , they don't make it and we move them on Thats the idea , we don't hang on to them forever thinking maybe yes /maybe no

Simona is a far better footballer than he was when he got a few games back in 2011 and looked goods when he did play for the few minutes he did get last season I can't judge him on his NSW Cup performances , but when Smeg says he is playing well I listen

Im sure he is coming back to play on the wing. Tedesco will be fullback and pat has only ever played 4 games in the centres in 8 yrs in superleague. He won't be switching anywhere now he will be a left winger

I agree with everything you have said in this thread Maca!!

Peeps are going off about Lawrence way too early,he hasnt been that bad and isnt far off top form.NOne of the youngsters are as good,Ive been watching them closely.

Our pack is starting to come good, and BMM is at the top of the list….a little patience and we will be there, put Sauce back in and we have a formidable group.

And back on topic......surely a back three of Koro,Pattycake and Teddy is just about as good as it gets.......very exciting times looming IMO.

Koro has played right wing before in NYC I am pretty sure. I am more of a fan of Richards playing center so maybe they can both be on the left with Ayshford and Big T on the right.

Not a criticism milky but why would you turn a 32 year ol who has never been a centre and always been a winger or a little while at fullback into a centre ?

Simon remind me again how long its been since Rowdy injured himself ?? And how many players have successfully comeback after 18 months being well below form ?? Again I will ask the same question that everyone seems to not want to answer

When do we say enoughs enough for Rowdy Take the sentamentality out of the equation for a moment

If this was a 4WD on your farm that had served you well for a few years but had a major problem with it and continued to not work what would you do ?? Say it was a wonderful 4WD and spend thousands of dollars and many hours on it and hope it started to work better or would you replace it ??

Yes I would. Wing and Center are almost the same position, it does not take long to turn a center into a winger the only thing that probably separates the two positions is speed, a winger needs speed, a center not as much. Moving Richards to center would also tighten up the defence, something we need. Richards is signed for two years, if he was signed for one year it would be a different story. I for one am very impressed by this signing and I can not wait for more signings to come, I hope we can get Eastwood, Mitchell Dodds and Michael Weyman for next year. Our forward pack also need strengthening . Great signing Potsy.

Richards has actually played quite a bit of centre. He even played centre for us on 05 in the odd match.
