I think its good we are trying to celebrate Richards career

My only concern is it gives Canberra something else to feed off defensively , coaches are always looking for an angle

Pretty silly stat when one of the parameters is 'play in the National Rugby League' and only 10% of his goals have been in the NRL. Not knocking the achievement but it doesn't really seem that worthy of making a big deal about.

Sabre,I really admire your input on the forum, however, kicking that many goals at the highest level anywhere is worthy of a little praise…Pat is a league legend whether you or anyone else thinks differently...well done on a great career Pat I hope you reach your milestone...

Not just that, but the fact that he did not kick goals for the first 6 years of his career. I didn't even know he was a goal kicker when he was with us first time around.

I didn't mean it like that 1000 goals is awesome regardless but the whole "First player in the modern era to play in the NRL and kick 1000 goals" sounds a bit like those ones "3rd fastest left footed kicker with a mullet to bring up 738 career points"
