Absolutely disgraceful. Poor line speed, poor marker defence & most-of-all our defence on both centre/wings is pitiful. Kirk & Alaimalo diabolical, and inside D with Feledy & Saukuru just as bad. Captain Casey should be Ron Massey Cup.

Mason & TDS, Broederlow, Sukkar, Kit Laulilii trying hard.
 
Hard to explain why there is such a noticeable lack of energy and desire ?
Makes you wonder if many of these players even have the motivation to be NRL players.
The Panthers team they are playing is missing most of their regular star players and is only an average team at best, yet still making the Magpies look second rate.
Heath Mason clearly our best he at least does things at speed and looks to meet his opponent when defending rather than sit back and wait for them.
Da Silva doesn’t look real motivated but defending ok.
Bailey Hodges only come on for roughly the last 10mins his energy is noticeably much higher than most of his team mates.

They have had some bad performances this year....but that half was the worst I have seen from them.

Should also add the officiating as bad as our edge defence.
 
Only watched the 2nd half which we only lost 10-6.

Miller, Johansson both impressive up front, Sakuru good in the backline and Staines looked an nrl player which he is.

When you have a junior fullback and a nsw cup winger in the halves and another winger at fullback it won't ever be pretty and that's what it looked like.

Put a good set of halves in this team and it will do the job - problem is those halves are injured but if Fainu and Sullivan were fit this team would look much much better
 
Alaimalo possibly one of the worst games I’ve ever seen. It’s fair to say this experiment has failed.
Also not seeing anything that Kit does well. I understand he’s still very young, but he has not showed anything of note this season.
Got to give young Solomon Saukuru credit, he stepped up and tried real hard in the second half.
Talyn got very frustrated and gave away a few silly penalties, but I admire his competitive spirit.
Tim Johanssen always in the thick of the action, definitely one worth persisting with.
Bailey Hodges another we definately should be persisting with, always adds a point of difference.
Jordan Miller runs the ball well, but he really worries me when defending. I’m not at all confident he can ever get his defence up to NRL standard.

Someone mentioned Heath is playing?
That would mean there is bound to be a change on the bench in NRL prehaps Douehi to the bench for Olam in?
 
Alaimalo is one of those players that puts up substandard performance every week yet you see him named in everyone's wish list teams for the round.
He's a forum darling.
