I think Izaac Thompson is a great pick up, could potentially play first grade after around 10 he is strong, tall, has good size & is it good finisher can also play wing or centre.

No no no. Hands like feet. Will do a job if we get desperate but I’m probably picking Lobb first if I’m honest.I think Izaac Thompson is a great pick up, could potentially play first grade after around 10 he is strong, tall, has good size & is it good finisher can also play wing or centre.
oh good god!!! i hope it doesnt come to that, Lobb cant be any near first grade ever!!!No no no. Hands like feet. Will do a job if we get desperate but I’m probably picking Lobb first if I’m honest.
I thought he was auditioning for a spot in Home and Away, the handsome fellow.oh good god!!! i hope it doesnt come to that, Lobb cant be any near first grade ever!!!
I would expect this team to lose by 20 this week. Weak backs, weak forwards. No one that can break the line other than maybe Latu.View attachment 20977
Staines at Fullback, Mason at 7, Fainu to 6. Faataape and Hope slot into centre and hooker respectively.
No sign of David Klemmer.
I'd just be releasing Lobb and Craig now. They both offer nothing, we need to take another gamble on a youngster with X factor. We have none, and that's why we lose. Trade Mason for a talented pacey young outside back or barnstorming second rower. No no no. Hands like feet. Will do a job if we get desperate but I’m probably picking Lobb first if I’m honest.
It's time our blokes aimed up and showed they have NRL potential. We have a number of top 30 contracted players in the Magpies team & quite a lethal spine if they can gel (Hope - Mason - Fainu - Staines). I'm backing us in for the upset here. The Eels have a first grade forward pack and quick outside backs. This game could get very ugly.

Crazy to see Matterson plugging away in Ressies. He has failed the character test a couple of times but his ability was never in doubt. The Eels have a first grade forward pack and quick outside backs. This game could get very ugly.

The team is clearly the Reserve Grade team of the Wests Tigers so I support them in this competitionOne thing that never changes is how weak are the Western Suburbs Magpies
Lucky I'm not a Magpies Fan and don't care much
I'm a WT fan exclusively
They defo aren't first grade at the moment, never quite have been or won't see much of it again. You're right though, they should be very good at Cup level. The Eels have a first grade forward pack and quick outside backs. This game could get very ugly.

I'm wondering if he's being groomed for the bench as a utility back? Full back, half, centreI hope the fullback experiment with Mason is over.
Latu is a running 5/8 not a half
So try Mason somewhere, as a 1/2. makes sense to me
Agree SQI'm wondering if he's being groomed for the bench as a utility back? Full back, half,
Thanks rihannafan1, How did you rate Latu’s game ?A high quality, very close game. With a few more boys dropping back to Cup we looked a lot better. The effort was so much better than last week. I thought the fitness was on show. We finished stronger for mine.
Only a great tackle late in the game from the Eels' fullback stopped Mason from scoring under the posts and we would have been ahead 16-14 with 2 minutes left.
No standouts imo. All did what we knew they were capable of. I wish Johanssen got a bit more ball as he looked most likely and his ptb was fast.
He was fine. Out of two games, he and Leon Pryce from Knights showed the most technical ability. He had a few good hits in defense too. He plays short really well. He hasn't put his stamp on either game but against lesser sides he will. Thanks rihannafan1, How did you rate Latu’s game ?
