This team is awful. No heart, no skill. Going to be a long season if this is a guide. It's 6-46 if anyone cares. Another try imminent.
 
Embarrassing stuff. The amount of missed tackles is unacceptable. This lot is barely Sydney Shield standard. 6-52 now. Probably time for another 3 tries.
 
If anyone from this team other than Da Silva, Simpkin, Mason or Kit play first grade this season the club is in big trouble.

Alaimalo terrible in defense and looks slow.
Lobb is slow laterally, soft and got dragged back to his own goal line on almost every run.
Casey has too many silly mistakes in his game.
Matamua was ok but hasn't shown any signs of progression/improvement.

Sukkar, Matamua and Casey were ok too.

Emphasis on 'ok'.

Raiders talking post game about being fired up to honour Troy Dargan. Clearly a very motivated team today and we just rolled over very early.

But individually, and as a team, Magpies were very ordinary.
 
Full srltrength, we're better than that score suggests.
Was good 2 score the last try of the game there too
 
Tuned out for the last 5 minutes as it was getting hard to watch.

Mason has some promise, hint of X-Factor about him. Issues of being a bit error prone and short. Unfortunately only one can be fixed.

Matamua was ok, better than I expected. Ran pretty hard. If he had a better motor he could be very good.

Da Silva ok, didn't appear to want to try much on offense. Bumped off many tackles, too much arm grabbing.

Some other forwards ran hard enough, but defended poorly overall.

Without wanting to be too negative, Garner and the number 7 stood out as not belonging. Hopefully with some reinforcements the team can look significantly better in ensuing performances.

If this cup squad are our next best and our back up for NRL then God help us
Basically they ran about 1600 m we ran 800 m
We had 45 missed tackles . No Talent No effort summary
NO HOPE !

It's almost as if this team has never played or trained together all off season. Oh wait, they haven't....
Massive fail from Benji, Payne and Betsey. The lack of preparation and professionalism is crazy

The middle forwards were atrocious aside from Matamua who I thought went ok under the circumstances.
As others have pointed out both Mason and Da Silva are class acts, Casey is willing and is a worthy back up outside back and Sukkar shows potential.
Lobb will improve as will Laulilli, not much hope for the rest of them.
