They scored after a simple error handed them possession. Wests up 10 to 4 at half time.
Saukuru has been the best on ground for mine. Strong carries every time. Lots of PCM.

TDS playing really well too. Scheming all the time and doing a lot of kicking from dummy half. Some quality ones too. Only blemish from him was trying to pick up a dogs bad pass and knocking it on instead of playing it safe.

Willett having a much better game today. Been safe and had some good carries.

Unfortunately Jimmy the Jet (Ngutlik) was injured after about 10 minutes. Made a try saver with his speed and that may have been when he injured himself. Appeared to have ice arpund the back/side of the knee.

Miller had a good first 16 minute stint. He was blowing hard.
Appreciate the updates

Saukuru proves his human and drops the kickoff. But we hold on well to get downfield. Then Declan Casey a couple of crucial missed tackles and Kautoga makes us pay. Up 16 to 14. 24 to go.

And down we go 36 to 16. A game we were the better side in for 55 to 60 minutes. We lost it in a 10 to 15 minute period where we had both TDS and Johanssen off the field.
Plenty of positives in the first 55/60 minutes...but the rapid collapse seems to be a problem for these Cup boys.

Knowing that many of them will probably be shown the door at the end of the season would not help their resiliance when things go against them

You can only take the positives from NSW Cup games and as you say the continued rise of Talyn Da Silva, the emergence of Tim Johanssen and the emergence of a giant young outside back in Solomon Saukuru are certainly some positives to take out of it.

Just watched the highlights/lowlights on NSWRL website. Seemed our edge defence was again major contributing factor to our 2nd half capitulation. The edge combo of Casey/Vaihu/Saukuru was poor in some of the Dogs tries, some Feledy ineffective tackles, some poor marker defence (no doubt fatigue a factor) & some bad lateral movement on the line from big Jordan.

Hope Jimmy Ngutlik's injury is not serious. Him going off at 15-min mark meaning Saukuru moving from centre to win & Vaihu coming into the centres was costly.

Casey and Vaihu are nothing more than Cup players. Feledy potentially heading down that path. I am not sold on Saukuru but give him the benefit of the doubt. Good build for an NRL outside back but lacks pace.
