I'm keen to see Johannsen. That guy has skill and as a go. I'd like to see him on the bench for the injured Seyfarth

I went to the Jets v Dogs game today. The Jets beat the Dogs by 20 and could easily have won by 20 more. The Magpies were much stronger opposition last week.

Glad to see Kautoga have a crap game.

After the piss poor performances in NRL of late, I would expect a big win in KOE with many players putting their hands up for first grade selection.
Lucky we are playing a side just as bad as the Maggie’s today.

I’d like to see Solo Saukuru developed into a backrower in the next year or 2. Think he can be a damaging backrower once he builds his engine.

Isn’t he a winger? Shouldn’t we develop him into a winger who can be damaging and score tries in a similar mould to other Fijian wingers Sivo and Ravaralla

Perhaps if Fainu fires at 7 today then Sezer might be considered at 9( a La Ben Hunt) can pass, tackle, and kick ?

So excited about our NSW Cup team tomorrow & the likes of To'a & Naden putting in performances like NRL players should in Cup, Feledy and Saukuru jumping out of the ground and saying 'I'm the next big thing in this club', Latu Fainu setting up at least 3 tries & scoring 1 himself, Matamua motivated by his axing with a huge lift in intensity and some superb line break assists; Broederlow producing a tackle-breaking masterclass; and Johannssen & Miller saying 'Stefano who, we went his & Klemmer's spot'; & Tallyn not missing one target from dummyhalf and producing 2 dummy half scoot line breaks. Not to mention Vaka Aho comes in & just dominates!

This is the problem, the vast majority of these players many fans are hopeful of becoming our saviour at NRL level have done absolutely nothing to standout out when playing for the Western Suburbs Magpies.
I agree today is a big opportunity for them and I also agree it is hard to be confident they are good enough to produce anything to get excited about.
We have so many players that were way over rated in their contract value or by simply being given a top 30 contract way before they had earned it.

I like your thinking but I'd leave Sezer at 7 and bring Fainu into 6 meaning Galvin would move to inside centre. We need our best 17 in the team and Fainu imo is right up there with his brothers.

If their not motivated for this game then the players and reggies coaching staff should be punted.

It shouldn’t take the NRL team to play as shocking as they did to motivate these players though - that’s is also a significant issue for us. We want the players to be consistent and perform at their best every week - maybe the reality is many of these players just suck.

AHX if a rugby league club offered you 300k per season to give your best each and every week, would you need a coach to motivate you to do your best or would you simply be grateful for the opportunity and give your best regardless of what the coach says or does ?

TDS and Kit Laulili'i both withdrawn from this game. Most likely come in for the injured Api and Seyfarth next week.

Mason playing (listed on the wing but would think he plays fullback and Naden to wing).

Surely it becomes a selection trial for next week with more NRL heads on the chopping block.
