Thanks BWG I haven’t watched it yet, but based on your comments it’s pretty much what you would expect.
This is the problem with Saukuru, he’s an absolute wrecking ball with plenty of size and speed, but is very inconsistent and doesn’t assert his dominance near as much as what he should. I do think we should be focusing on him as an edge back rower, but never the less he should be dominating Ron Massey Cup opponents.
I think Archie Duncombe is another one to keep an eye on, he’s always had talent, is now very strongly built and hits very hard.
Josese Lanyon definitely has talent, I hope we don’t under use and under value him.
I rate Max Likes, but I don’t think he’s a natural dominant playmaker who digs into the line ala Jock Madden, he’s more of an off the cuff 5/8 who is best suited playing alongside someone like Jock Madden.
I’m concerned that Jock Madden will be a regular part of our NRL top 19 which might prevent him from playing all that much NSW Cup and although Iverson Matai is decent, I’m not overly confident he can help our NSW Cup team dominate the way it has done in the trials with Madden leading the way. I think Iverson is also more off the cuff than an on the ball general.
Who starts in the back row for our NSW Cup team will be very interesting as we have plenty to choose from.
I though Tony Sukkar had his best game in an NRL environment last night, he looked stronger and more physical than he has previously which was good to see, but I think he’s now more suited to the middle.
That would leave a combination of Mavrik Geyer, Ethan Roberts and Mitch Taotua as possible starting edge forwards and either Luke Jack, Charlie Murray or Alex Seyfarth if they miss the NRL 19 as the possible starting lock.

Benji was playing some weird hybrid sport today with half our coaching staff so chances are nobody was watching any of the clubs matches today.

Appalling from the club and HBG for organising this Mickey mouse charity fundraiser on a day when we've got matches on
Game was at Concord BB not long after the hybrid charity game so I’m sure Benji, Heigno as transition coach & Gallant would have watched.

Wests won 6 tries to 3
They should not be letting any Ron Massey Cup team score any tries against them.
Max Taotua is a beast who is an attacking weapon, but needs plenty of work on his defence.
I hope our coaching staff are working hard with he and his brother, particularly on their effort areas as they can both become very good NRL players with a bit of fine tuning.

Well if Massey teams shouldnt score any tries, the Storm have a big problem. They played their Massey feeder team, Mounties, yesterday, and Mounties scored 7 tries. They led 38-16 with 5 minutes to go but Melbourne got 2 tries in the closing minutes to narrow the gap to 38-26.

I reckon Melbourne Storm are now lacking depth, first time in a long while.

They went through the guys they’ve lost and have unavailable on the Fox coverage. Boy they’ll be doing well if they run top 4 this year.
Like most teams, they are still ok with their top 17, but very thin after that.
I think this is where we have caught up and gone past a lot of other teams as we now have quite a few positions where if we have someone out the replacement player is just as good.

Richo spoke about it early on and brought in a few guys who he got questioned about due to family ties, too early to say but maybe some shrewd business.
