He saved the try because he has no idea how to defend and instead constantly goes for the intercept. He needs to put that away and concentrate on making good decisions and learning.
People have to accept Tavana is a bit like a poor man's Nofoaluma. Sometimes does something great, but his defence is poor, he goes for the glory play rather than stick to the gameplan, and struggles to make any metres. the more I watch the more I see the many flaws in his game that need a lot of improvement before he's remotely ready to play first grade again.

I'm not writing him off at all, but he should be in Cup for at least 12 more months while he works out the links on his game. Nothing wrong with that, he's only young.

its all the same babble - give the kid time .
Most of them do need time . Tavana has a will to be in the mix of it all, hard yards ,can't coach that

Someone asked about Glassie - power centre who appears to have taken a step up in ability and has certainly filled out for this season. Could be anything, may be one of our top talents.
He's that nuggety outside back that we seem to like so much. Built like Kotoni Staggs, not a huge frame but chunky legs and very powerful. Kid's got some skill. Nice to secure him ahead of rugby

I sort of agree.
I was surprised he was elevated to NRL without really dominating NSW Cup.
He then started well in his first couple of NRL games, but I was surprised he kept being selected ahead of Skelton and it did not surprise me when he had his shocker.
I will say I am impressed with how well he hit back in NSW Cup last week. It was close to his best game in NSW Cup and showed he badly wants his NRL spot back.
No doubt he’s a work in progress, but I think he is now are very worthy top 30 member when I couldn’t say that before the start of this season.
The couple of Jersey Flegg games I’ve seen from Filipe Huahulu makes me think he could be younger, bigger, stronger and better, but he still has a fair bit of catching up to get to Tavana’s current level.

It’s very interesting that players such as Glassie Glassie, Filipe Huahulu and in recent weeks Phoenix Godinet and Christian Taupau-Moors all look to be more at ease and so much better playing Jersey Flegg (u/21’s) than they did during the SG Ball (u/19’s) season earlier this year.
It must say a lot about the ability of our Jersey Flegg coach Shane Sultana as he keeps getting the best out of his players, very impressive to see.

Cant understand how Skelton has fallen out of favor...hes definitely a NRL standard winger...but cant get a game
Am guessing hes made overtures to the club to move on to somewhere where he can play(Eels)...but LL has done exactly the same..and lets not even talk about our co captain

It’s hard to work out.
Benji is no doubt a stickler for hard work and work ethic on the training paddock and off the field as well as in games, so I’m guessing it could have something to do with that.
The only other possibility is that Benji might be frustrated with the errors Skelton has in his game ?
If that is the case I think he needs to have a look and understand how much pressure wingers are under across the NRL at the moment and understand it’s very rare that any winger plays a game without making an error, whether that be a dropped high ball, a dropped ball from a yardage hit up, a bad defensive read or not finishing off a half try scoring opportunity.
I think the modern day winger plays a much more important part in their teams success than what they are given credit for.
