I sort of agree.
I was surprised he was elevated to NRL without really dominating NSW Cup.
He then started well in his first couple of NRL games, but I was surprised he kept being selected ahead of Skelton and it did not surprise me when he had his shocker.
I will say I am impressed with how well he hit back in NSW Cup last week. It was close to his best game in NSW Cup and showed he badly wants his NRL spot back.
No doubt he’s a work in progress, but I think he is now are very worthy top 30 member when I couldn’t say that before the start of this season.
The couple of Jersey Flegg games I’ve seen from Filipe Huahulu makes me think he could be younger, bigger, stronger and better, but he still has a fair bit of catching up to get to Tavana’s current level.
Reckon his ability in the air on attacking kicks was probably the main motivation for getting him into first grade a bit early. Our redzone attack is poor and our only kick options are our backrowers when fit

Tough 1st half as they hardly had any ball for the first 15mins, were down 16-0 and were gassed.
Then a good comeback started by an intercept by Tino Tavana and a good back up finish from Jack Attard.
Them with our fair share of possession we started to mount a bit of pressure and capitalised with a good final pass from Javon Andrews giving Logan Brookes a clear run to the line.
We then had more good field possession, but fumbled and bumbled our way to a very poor set concluding with a dropped ball and let the Panthers score right before halftime to be down 10-22.
Let’s see if we can dig in and make a game of it in the 2nd half.

The team looks poorly coached again. The only time we looked decent was when Gardiner was in charge.

Flegg play a much better brand of footy.

Toa just created a try for Sakuru on the edge. Its what he should be doing in cup. My issue is more the body language is poor. Noting i only started watching at 60 mins

Andrews is playing with so much confidence and is just class. Attard’s support play is his strength & made a great try saving tackle chasing down a player and held him up over our line when the game was gone by that point. Penrith’s pathways are the benchmark their line speed is relentless. Starford’s arm is causing him so much grief I’m not sure what the club is gonna do. Haywood has put on some much needed size.
