Great first 20 mins for the Magpies. Then To'a sinbinning cost us and we showed that typical lack of resilience. Once Javon went off injured, it was going to be hard. Fingers crossed it is nothing serious. He did grab at his calf so hopefully that is what it is and not an achilles.
Thought Vaka Aho, Josese Lanyon & Masi Makasini were our best, Charlie Murray tried hard as always and Ethan Roberts showed his class but also missed a crucial tackle.

Left after 20 minutes. That 20 minutes makes me hate HBG even more. Lidcombe is an absolute hole.
The entire vibe there really feels anti Wests Tigers with the old Magpie faithful getting around in their gear, flags, wigs etc. Officials thriving in their Magpie polo's living the dream. I could be wrong but I really felt like it was embarrassing how pro Magpie and anti wests tigers it felt.
It will never happen with these muppets in charge, but we have to have Wests Tigers in reserve grade and play in front of the NRL team as much as possible, and the other times play out of Campbelltown. I have left with a real sour taste in my mouth. I just wanted to slap a couple of them around to wake them up.

I went to the game against Wahs. Hadn't been to Lidcombe since the 80s and it's still an awful ground to watch footy at. Understand why you felt like you did and left. It's an unusual vibe isn't it? The wingman beer was ordinary so I asked who brewed & girl behind bar said it's brewed in Cambodia. Odd. Wrote that on FB & it sparked drama, whatever 🙄 I've been to two beer and footy festivals at Henson this year and both times was a great day. Local beers too. I only watch Cup for the young guys coming through, can't say I'll go back to Lidcombe any time soon & just watch on Bar TV.

Only saw 20 minutes. He is very thin. Was defending well but had very little opportunity with the ball. Gave early ball a couple of times to Broadwerlow and Toa but his passing didnt have the slickness you would expect from him. Almost looked like he struggles to pass left to right.
He set up 2 tries passing left to right and it is his first game in almoat 2 yrs

Thats good to hear. Wasn't trying to put him down, just gave a view on what I saw the first 20 minutes. Couple of his left to right passes didnt look natural, thats all.

Thanks scoop...its called a velodrome and its bitumen and it hasnt been a problem for players for 60 years...it was only a problem for.me as a 10 yo forgetting how steep it was when hopping the fence at full time
Only one game in from Schuster playing in an underwhelming team, but he didn’t really show anything to get excited about.
I fear his ship may have sailed and if we are looking to add another 5/8 to add further composer positions, we should be targeting the Fainu brothers cousin Junior Amone who has been on fire playing Qld Cup.
As for Lidcombe Oval, I used to love watching first grade games there when was young, but it is very dull and boring when there are only a couple of hundred people in attendance these days.
Personally I could not care less of our Reserve Grade Team is called Wests Tigers, Wests Magpies or if they wear a jersey with pink and purple pokedots, but we seem to have so many Wests Tigers fans who have a bee in their bonnet about our reserve team not being called Wests Tigers, that I would personally give in just to please the masses.
