Halfback Mitchell Pearce hasre-signed with the Sydney Roosters on a four-year NRL deal.
Pearce's new contract will keep the NSW State of Origin No.7 at the foundation club at least until the end of the 2017 NRL season.
The 23-year-old is believed to have knocked back an offer from St George Illawarra.
“It's an honour that I don't take lightly to represent the Roosters. I couldn't see myself playing anywhere else and I'm really happy to be contracted here long term,” said Pearce in a media release.

Poor Dragqueens no one wants to join them!

I think by NRL standards he is an average player. Good luck to him though.

p.s. Laurie Daley PLEASE select him again for SOO this year.

Good luck to him we done need a halfback anymore we just have to re sign our own when he smashes it this year we just need to sign a big name prop for 2014 season.

I'm happy we never chased him , have some real guns coming through the next couple of years also Jacob Miller could prove to be the halfback we have been long hoping to see …

I'm glad the Roosters have removed any temptation we might have had to sign this guy. Average at best. Here's hoping that Miller can reproduce his NYC brilliance in first grade.

Bog average at club level and he's only the Blues halfback because there's no one better. He could well lose his Blues jersey this year if Reynolds continues his form from last year though.
