What the hell does the petition have to do with the Magpies at all, ;et alone being ANTI Magpies?
Some people imagine drama everywhere. There is enough disfunction in this club without having to invent it.

Some people imagine drama everywhere. There is enough disfunction in this club without having to invent it.
Because , these types of people can’t understand , that when people criticise Holman Barnes of Wests , they aren’t criticising the magpies , Tommy , John skandalis etc .
They’re criticising that leagues club board , and whether those people should have any right being anywhere near making decisions for the wests tigers .
And as such what is their primary motivation . Is it a profitable football team , or is it a winning football team .
Because a lot of the time those things are juxtaposed is a serious way . They rarely go hand in hand .
That’s not a wests vs Balmain thing , it’s 💯 a leagues club , that runs for profit vs football club thing .
And they are hearing “Wests Mapgies sux” in their heads . But that’s not what’s happening . Wests leagues clubs board sux Meaning the dudes who sit atop that pokies money pit are not the right people to lead us into our rightful place in the sports elite .
The nrl will never ever bring back the magpies . It was a barely existing failed move to c-town prior to the merger . And the wests tigers have failed to captivate that region for mismanagement reasons , as well the general transit nature of the region itself , and the fact most people who live there have migrated from other parts of Sydney .
Once again not a criticism on wests magpies rich history , and legacy within the game .
Much like the late 80s with blocker Wayne Pearce and Elery Hanley , forever etching the Balmain tigers in history with that nostalgia , the same can be said for the late 70s with Roy masters , les Boyd and Tommy .
There is no reason to get possessive about this stuff . Both teams are gone . Balmain will never ever return as well . It can’t anyways financially . But no one in their right mind would ever revive it anyway .
There’s only 2 real options left for this club. 1. Finda way to either get this ownership to sell , or get them to understand their own limitations .
2. Ship this club off to Brisbane or Perth and be done with it .
As I said neither of those options involve wests magpies nor Balmain tigers . And For those who think it does . It’s 2023 I’m 40 and have supported the wests tigers almost double the time I’ve supported Balmain or anyone has supported wests .
If you’re 50 years old it’s close to 50/50 .
No one under the age of 30 even has any real knowledge of either club ever existing .

You've told us of your undying love for WT, so much so that you've told us on here you would be prepared to die for the club.

I have a feeling you would have said the same thing about your Balmain Tigers.
But now those feelings of loyalty that you had to Balmain Tigers are gone and forgotten because a new entity in the shape of WT being owned 90% by Wests Magpies/Ashfield has popped up.
Like you said Balmain is history (never to be seen again).
Your loyalty to me seems to be something that changes with the wind.
Are you content within yourself knowing Balmain only has 10% say in WT, and are you happy for it to continue that way?
Are you happy within yourself to continue pledging your undying loyalty to WT knowing there is no way back for your Balmain Tigers?

Yes there is and it reared it’s ugly head in this very thread.
I get it, some of those blokes weren’t great mods.
Willow was one in particular who was pure trash.
That said, we do have to put differences aside and try and get something started about management.
I couldn’t give a shit for the time being if this club is profitable. Winning games of footy and building a formidable pipeline into NRL, ala Penrith is what matters.

I fully intend to cease and desist from any future trolling, as you called it.
The only reason I have posted the way I have is due to Cochise in the past having been the chief 💩 stirrer of anyone that extolled pro Magpies feelings. And I'm sorry to say that has built a feeling of mistrust within me as to his current and future intentions.
I will be Extremely happy if this sort of stuff never happens again, and dare I say it, I would like to feel Cochise and I can be friends.

What are you on about mate? I wouldn't have Balmain back if I could, I have supported Wests Tigers for over half my life. I have no interest in going backwards.
I think the way the Holman Barnes Group is attempting to embrace the history of Balmain is a great thing and have stated many times before. I honestly don't care who owns the club as long we are successful.

I can totally agree with Pascoe's actual failures. Things like Farah's salary cap penalty are on Pascoe as well as many others.
Yet what would you have Pascoe do with these:
• Matterson walks -- Was wanting 700k+ after going from 350->500k. Would you have Matterson here for 1m a season?
• Aloiai walks -- Manly bidded overs. kinda 50/50 on this one.
• Cleary walks -- Would you have not signed Cleary? or do you think we could have pulled Nathan Cleary from Penrith.
• Fulton appointment -- you would have Tim Sheens run Wests Tigers when he had already lead us to the bottom of the table?
• Noffa’s inflated contract -- Yes Noffa's contract was stupid, however I heard this was Lee upgraded the contract. I blame Lee for the 500k stupidity.
• Players who sign here only to get injured and not contribute (Ballin, Packer, Reynolds, Doueihi, Jet, Naden etc.) -- Was Ballin even under Pascoe's watch? Yes some of our signings were attrocious. Others like Naden I actually still think is a good signing. To your point Players will get injured. Should we not sign Joey Manu as he may get injured? It's a contact sport, sure signing your Chris McQueens or Kieran Forans aka busted players can be on him and Chris McQueen is on him and Cleary. We cannot blame Pascoe or the board for Naden or Doueihi getting injured, it happens!
I am completely happy to blame Justin Pascoe and the board for what decisions they take and what they do.
My biggest beef is our club not idenitifying a "wressling/tackling" coach, improved defense and working out why we are "soft" as a club. It seems that fitness, defense and tackling gets rolled into the one person.
The number of promissing players that have come here and get under-trained and under-developed is a key problem we need to address and that I blame Tim Sheens, Justin Pascoe and Lee H.
I won't blame Justin Pascoe for Doueihi doing his ACL this year. Heck I encourage us to take risks and accept that some seasons a player will injure themselves out. #thatslife.

Well, we can do a deal.
If you let Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon be WT CEO I will let the club be called Balmain playing at LO every home game.
Trouble is only me and you and half a dozen others will be on the LO hill wearing our Tigers Saxonvale jumpers.
All the ALP Tigers will desert us.🙂

In total agreement there, what’s funny is I’d expected Willow and I not to get along based upon what virtually everybody was saying. Didn’t really encounter him?
Pascoe might’ve successfully brought us into the black/green but is clearly not respected anywhere else. The entire Farah fiasco wasn’t helped by the NRL making us their doormat, which in turn is due to our board being such a ragtag ensemble that other core mgmt members cannot count on.
Based upon the reactions in this thread alone - unlikely to me that Wests Ashfield are remotely interested let alone willing to open their doors to criticism. Especially if they really do see us poor [This word has been automatically removed]ers as expendable which is indicated by the superficial nature in which they attempt to run this football club.
They’d wipe their hands first before admitting it was a mess… what can this even accomplish?

I have to say that most on here have their own particular opinion in regard to the decisions made by our board and CEO over the many years since our inception...We can all go back in the past and blame Balmain or West's for any amount of reasons..The hard cold truth is that WE ARE ALL WESTS TIGERS members,fans and supporters...
The one thing that Must not interfere with our loyalty to the WTs is the past factions arguing of past teams,clubs and failures..
I don't care who WE supported back in the 70s,80s 90s or 00s...we all supported a particular team and club because WE LOVE RUGBY LEAGUE,please don't let past demenours affect the way we converse and follow our team the WTs...Now and forever for me...
